Negril Jamacia fishing
tree top flyer replied to poverty stricken II's topic in Open Lake Discussion
In my past life ( as any one has figured out what song my screen name is from:D ) Negril was always my fav place to meet up. If its sandals owend i belive you are alowed on any sandals resort also? This is very good for dinner and keeping the wife happy between fishing. The falls are also nice hubby and wife thing to do. Get certifeid 2 dive while there. Its the cheapest place in the world to do so and then its good anywhere in the world. And easy. So easy lets just say in spain they make you tred water in a olimpic size pool, Jamaica, you tred water in a 3 foot deep pool. Dont rent a car, every one on the other side of the road and driving down there one highway like you were in NJ. Grab a cab driver and ask him how much 4 4-6 8 hrs first. remember everything you are to haggle haggle off the resort. nice restaurants will come pick u up from your hotel. If your at a resort and they take you out for the night. tip the bouncer ten 2 come get you when your bus comes back 2 the bar to pick u up. Dont take a taxi unless it has a blue or red sticker ( i forgety witch) And the cooolest people that know everything in any island S of florida are the guys that rent jet skis on the beach( ask them about the fishing. Remember tips are included and there not supose to take them, but the first thing i used to do if i didnt know the bartender from being there before was put a 20 in a bottom of the glass that i just emptied and thank him 4 his time. then when you ask 4 a bottle of Champagne 2 go with the bride at 3 a.m. on the beach, its readily available. Doesnt help you alot on the fishing, but do ask the guys renting jet skis about it. sandals doesnt rent them themselves but you will c what i mean when your there. Remember.....the resort...anything is safe........offf of it...welll good luck -
Ive seen it on a post here before, any one have the link to the lure colour 2 depth? I rremember there was a simple way to remember it but i guess im just way to simple

Any one ever have a problem running 2 swivels? I run a snap swivel at the lure but then run another very small ( fits threw the guides on reel) to atatch my leader. I dont use a knot to do this cause its easier 4 me with a swivel with a hand condition i have. I always wonderd if this might take away from lure action a little but didnt really think it did. But then again we all know little things ad up and might make the diffrence in the number of fish landed.

Im guessing your going to Sandals? When i was there diffrent locals pulled up with there boats at the markers in the water every day.(they are not allowed actually on the resort) If you dont c them, I would ask one of the guys at the water rental place if he knows some onewitch 99.9 percent of the time they know some one. And then Haggle haggle haggle. Good luck fishing and tying the knot. Remember the totaly nude resort is right next door to the negril sandals -
This was taken from channel 13 news .....If you’re a boater, you may have noticed recently that the temperature was in the 50s, but it dropped back into the lower 40s late last week. This was the result of a process called upwelling. Remember that the water temperature below the surface is much colder than at the surface. A strong southerly wind has a tendency to push warm water towards the north shore of the lake (towards Canada) causing cold water to rise from deeper parts of the lake. This basically creates a circular pattern, with the warmer water at the surface being replaced by the colder water from below. On the other hand, a north wind will move warm water south (toward Rochester) and cold water ‘upwells’ on the north shore of the lake..... Has any one noticed this? I was on the boat sat and i believe the surface temp was 53 then

Got 2 the parents about 2 in the afternoon and no one was around so the girlfriend and i put the boat in and went out. being the first year chasing kings some one forgot to tell me that they are not likely to 2 be up there yet. Well some one forgot 2 tell this salmon that also About a hundred feet of water, 40 down out from stoney creek headed towards oswego. Hit a Nk , forget the name, geen with the dots on one side. the girlfriend did a pretty good job of clearing the rods out of the way also 4 the first time. couldnt revive the thing so we called the little brother who was up trolling sunk island 2 c who would want it. Thats when word got out and people wanted 2 know if we ran into alot or not. Sorry didnt actually mark anything much out there. Sunday we took my dads boat over 2 the light house and did 1 4 2 with a brown. Lots of boats no nets going. All and all it was nice getting into one and going fishing with the old man. Every time i get on his big penn yan im reminded how much i would like a bigger boat

I used 2 get pulled over 4 a safety check all the time in the river. Yes they can pull you over 4 that reason alone. coast gaurd has always been ok with it, the police not so much. Game warden has stretched out a net before while trolling to drop my liscence in so i didnt have to pull llines. So one day 2 my own surprise, i get out of work early, i took both pitt bulls (witch would lick you 2 death) and trolled the river 4 eyes given the lake was to windy. Same cops who pulled me over 2 weeks earlier ask me to reel a line in and start 2 pull up next to me state they were going 2 do a safety check. as there almost to my side both dogs get up off the floor and scare the hell out of the 2 old cops. one asks me in a hectic voice to contain the dogs. Answering" how the hell do i do that in a 15 foot boat?" I guess you had to be there but it was the funniest dam thing and i didnt get a answer 2 the question. after that we were on a friendly wave basis 4 years 2 come.

Thanks 4 the report ill be at my parents cottage there sat. Now i feel old!!! I remember fishing with my great grandfather when there was no boat launch If your headed in fron the lake follow the corn silo in, at least thats what we did before they put markers out, plus the ice sometimes moves them about . Once you pass the marina stay 2 the left all the way till gravely(thats the little piece of land that has the big metal post in front of it. then the channel swings to the right . then your pretty good to the boat launch. The bay is very shallow until you pass the marina and then if you dont know where the Rocks are you might as well stay inside the bouys. the shore line around there is tricky, If you head out< the sand dunes always produced well early in the year and your 2 bays 2 the right do also in the spring. good luck and leave a few for me

Yes but this the 2nd year with it and it did sit for 3yrs before that. everything else is done coill, rebuils carb, etc, etc. Could a numerouse things, from , water , rich carb, but once those things are eliminated witch sounds like you have looked at. valve seals on a 20 year engine, same year as mine are worth looking at.

I bought the pre set up lead core package at gander. Figured being the first time setting this kind of rig up it would be best. I know this has been brought up before so if there is a older link to point me to feel free. I need to know basically how deep per colour and speed varible? Any tips on setting this up are more than welcome.

My parents own a cottage on the other side as you go out. Do you if you can get gas at the marina this year?
