  1. how was the sreen in 35fow? we had skipped out to 90+ cause there was 4 or 5 boats out there tight together and were thinking they might have found a pod of kings, now i kinda wish we would have atleast trolled out to c what the screen looked like. the cold water really screwed things up a bit.
  2. Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name:tree top flyer ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s):sat Time on Water:630-1130 Weather/Temp:overcast -sunny Wind Speed/Direction:north then south Waves: rolling-1to 2 footers Surface Temp: 47-52! Location:the ponds LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: 2 Total Boated:1 Species Breakdown:brown Hot Lure: zoro-orange belly, silver black stripe Trolling Speed: 2.5 Down Speed: lol Boat Depth: 10-150 Lure Depth: all over ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ==================== Put in at the genny thinking with the cold surface temp along the shore was best this morning. Half a dozen people trolling the mouth, sure they were there just combat fishing has already worn a little thin this year. set up just before the ponds and the brown hit around crescent beach in ten foot.Worked across braddocks and went out to 95, mrked fish on the screen till 135 then just lakers on the bottom. Watched a charter pull a couple in behind cowbells, had no interest in that.
  3. at least i know the humminbird wasnt broken lol.
  4. thanks for the report. did u get a surface temp? the cold water from the wind last week really screwed things up. was out sunday eve and worked the same 50 to about 100 with blank sreen. did have one on over 50 and lost it after a minute. think then the water was only 46F
  5. while were on the subject, if anyone wants to trade, i have 2, twice used 28" (i think) amish bags that i would trade for a smaller set, Just to big for my boat.
  6. did the lake flip? My brother was out of stoney creek up north and he had 53 as a temp on the surface, as with you, i was reading between 46 and 48 west of russels
  7. I have a 3.7 and off the top of my head i think the therm opens at 140 or 160. If i knew what i was buying at the time i would never had bought a boat with that engine, but so be it. The way i understand it, merc mated the head of a big block ford onto there core. the problem is, everything is merc parts, making things 3 times expensive. if you look up engine rebuilds on line its about the most expensive u can have.Having a stater instead of a alternator makes things interesting also. there are interesting problems with the earlier models, iboats forum has also ben a big help with issues. The good side, (witch i bought it for) doesnt burn any gas trolling all day but can push my 20ft boat 50mph on the gps. good luck, i feel for ya
  8. the lake is down to 1-3 footers by monday night
  9. The girl and i ran tonight from the genny to about crecent beach for about a hr. no takers but marked fish and bait out between thirty and 50
  10. thanks long line for the report, i wasnt going to head out cause of the traffic i expect out there but cing yours came off the riggers i think im going to head out now.
  11. crestliner, what site are you looking at them on?
  12. hey long line, havnt been out early enough to run into you this year yet. That certain charter has been after my lines for a half decade. took a for letter filled very loud coversation before we got all the hooks out and returned him to the water. (opologies to any kids within earshot that morning)the wind and waves were shifting, screwing up the mudd line but it was enough so they could c somtheing to eat. alot of boats were fishing right in the mouth witch was the only place marking fish but in my opinion to muddy to get strikes. right after the pier starts was best.
  13. Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name:20ft red/white wellcraft ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s):4/24 Time on Water:730-noon Weather/Temp:nice Wind Speed/Direction:windy around noon Waves: ripple to little white caps Surface Temp: 52-47 Location:mouth of genny LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: 6 Total Boated:2 Species Breakdown:1 brown, one coho, one personal craft, one charter boat Hot Lure: rainbowtrout specled repela Trolling Speed: 2.8 Down Speed: Boat Depth: 8 -20 Lure Depth: flat lines ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ====================interesting day combat fishing.all came off of eye boards, none on the d/riggs. first coho on rochester side in about 10ft, 2 lost near the mouth summerville side, 1 brown 8ft of water around noon summerville side.
  14. tuesday i ran a nk at a little under 3 mph and took 2 coho off of it on a board, wouldnt be my first choice, but it is my lucky lure and i think plain and simple the coho were would hit anything that day. well the lure looks alot better running at 3.5 mph along side the boat than at 2.5 ...i c alot of post that people have there speed under three and have a n/k listed as a top lure of the day. is this common or would i be just washing lures at the slower speed?
  15. My parents have a cottage on the shallow side with my father being there every weekend. if you know the channel through the creek (marina to the boat launch thats unmarked) you can get out, if you dont, right now i wouldnt
  16. Fishing Report genny Your Name / Boat Name: ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s): Time on Water:8am 1130am Weather/Temp:nice Wind Speed/Direction: Waves: 1foot Surface Temp: forget Location:genny mud line LAT/LONG (GPS Cor =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: 7 Total Boated:4 Species Breakdown:2 browns 2 coho Hot Lure: half orange/ half blake n/k off a board, go figure Trolling Speed: 2.5 -3.0 Down Speed: Boat Depth: 5ft -20 Lure Depth: flat line ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ==================== I think everyone is getting into them right now, but i think the important thing is every hookup we had was when something was going on. slowing down, speeding up, popping a line out of the down rigger, putting on a eye board, bringing in lines and having the fish hit it 2 or three times. fun day and kept enough to keep the freezer full awhile.
  17. anyone know on line the cheapest to order them? how does the back release work?
  18. yes they were on a boat running along side us the fist sat after opening near russles. if any one has a link to a side mount mast let me know. what i could make out of it, it seemed he hadf the single mast on each side slid into a rod holder pointed out.
  19. this is a coho (90%sure)caught monday morning about 930 am just west of the beach house, 8 foot of water, on a darker brown trout spotted repela. didnt put in a fishing report, first time on t he computer since the iphone fell in the drink. ISNT early to be catching them this far west this time of year?
  20. I saw over the weekend planner mast that looked like they mounted on the side of the boat like in a rod holder or out rigger bracket. anyone know of such thing or a site for them? thanks.
  21. WENT OUT THE GENNY thursday and twice today in my 20ftr coast gaurd went right by us but i wouldnt try it with a sherriff boat
