fish from 80-140ft from 30 to the bottom. not much bait except a few pods. went back around 5 last night and marked alot fewer in the same area. note: some charters were fishing my guess in the 300-400 ft range, We were getting a steady pick and good screen in our spot so we didnt move. plus we didnt have a radio to listen in thanks for the tip on the lead dale

Thanks, it did what a laker does best, sat there on the bottom. we really believed we had crossed rigger cables or something .screen was full of them down there, just never really fish for them much

Is running a dodger off lead not the norm?I was actually impressed by the hits on the dodger and fly set up atomik sent being the first time i bought from them. with the lead core, i figured the last thing i wanted to change over that day was that dodger set up, so its back out there and forget about it.

I had set up a 10 core with a new chrome and green dodger with a atomik fly. this is really the first time using lead.first hit ripped out a bunch of backing, no one home. Second hit, i had slowed down just to c if i could pop a couple of lakers from the bottom with the riggers and after i just started reeling in, the second hit on this set up, fish ran and did a tail walk and spat the fly out. one, i was kinda surprised how far the fish was back there lol. second i believe i read on hear that u loose alot of fish on lead core, any one else find this true? ====================

We sat at the river to after 6 watching the lightning pass trying to convince the guy next to us to put in first cause his boat was more of a lightning rod than ours . Went out to 65 foot marked fish and waited to c what the hell the weather was going to do before we set lines. ran back into 30, set one rig and said screw it and headed in. little much for my twenty footer. the funny thing was, on the radar it showed the storm moving east, well it was right out of the north. got some much needed sleep

normal. i had mine rebuilt last year and of course i forgot to upgrade the pump and it does the same dam thing. I put staite 30 in it one year and that made a diffrence, wouldnt recomend it if your not willing to change it with the weather. I would try diversions advice with the 25w40. let us know how u make out?

Well we didnt put in there, went fishing out of sandy with friends sat and stoped by breakers on the way home and found there launch boarded and roped off. Sunday we did make a run in after drinking pops on the water all day with the girls for some much needed dinner. took it slow, (19.2 wellcraft cuddy) hit a few times and got a reading as low as a foot at times. on the way out on plane, not a problem but the lake was glass, wouldnt recomend if it wasnt. I for one was looking at houses in there last year and the whole dredge think is 100% the reason i havnt. i could not imagine buying and then being totally land locked a year later.

I usualy try to put in at braddocks during the holiday weekend to avoid the mass at the river . anyone know if i can get my 20ft boat out the mouth?

i caught a 17pnd king up there the 29th of last year. think it was the first one caught up there that year. My father was doing more northerns than eyes out of chamount bay during the derby in deep water , go figure. if it was me i would follow what bottom feeder says, u can flat line the light house and rays and sawyers bay area if you dont have d-riggers
