Went out also from the genny, late around 830 am and decided to just test the new motor than set up by myself in that roll. Marked some nice ones in 70 foot about 40 down give or take ten foot

Can anyone make me up on the a inexpensive radar size tower? I have a wellcraft 19.2 classic cuddy, With the new engine and the size of my driveway, this is going to be my fishing vessel for a few years to come. I was wondering if theres a welder or some one that can fabricate me a tower? I keep looking at the wake board towers and think how nice my top would still fit under one, how i could mount rocket launchers on it, a few lights, and even run my boards off each side. but there in the 700 hundered and up range. would have to be mounted on the side to allow room for the top, just some thing to make a small boat a little more fishing friendly, and im not really into loosing my boat again for any period of time after waiting so long for the engine to be done.

And I have a brother that likes to tie the non ring spoons without a snap, line right to the spoon.......but thats a whole diffrent post

My thoughts are this.........I have never thought of bring mine,I just dont think its necessity at this boat launch or should every one that reads your post that wants to fish there at night period. Ive had to come into this launch from fishing or pleasure at least a hundred times at all diffrent times of night and never had a problem. yes you could get jacked in the perking lot, You could get shot in a gas station in brighton, but that doesnt mean i wouldnt let the wife stop 4 gas after dark.So carry your gun,please by all means do.

I get the boat back this week with a total rebuild, almost a month out of the water Anyways This was the year that i had really gotten back into fishing, and the fleas had just started when the boat blew up. Are they still a problem now? I fish out of the genny and up stoney creek way witch for some reason i never remember them being a problem up there or i was just spring and fall fishing. Im sure there has been lots of posts on what line to use if they are still out there thise time of year, but would swithing to 30lb work? what do i use for a leader then? thanks

on this subject. do any of you use some sort of holding device when releasing them? Ive never used one but have seen some that look like tongs. Getting back into it this year ive had to keep more fish than i would have cause reviving a 20pnd + fish over the side of the boat isnt the easiest thing to do.

Boat engine is getting rebuilt next week during my vacation . So the girl and I are going to atlantic city and staying at the Trump Taj Mahal. Not really into gambling that much but was wondering if any one has ever fished right there off one of the piers? Do they rent tackle? Any one know if they do party boats there? I guess i should look and c how much a out of state licsence is first.

I dont know if this holds water or not but the way it has been explained to me is, stainless has less flex so you will get more speed out of it but if u hit something it wont give witch could damage the lower unit. I remember a chart once comparing the 2 and i think on a speed boat we were only talking one ore miles faster than a aluminum.

Mabie we will get fish ladders some day up the falls and the DEC will finally fine every one snagging up there. My Great grandfather (who implanted the fishing bug in me as soon as i could walk) would not believe we catch eyes in the genny now days so anything would be possible. I saw the DEC had a net down in the river a little past turning point. Is there any site that gives data on the info they collect? With the family fishing out of henderson, the drive is to long with the hours i work and the genny has become my home port, like yourself im very interested in what goes on in the river.

If you have a 3.7 merc ( 160,170,190) west marine up in iron has a starter on clearance 4 a hundred bucks. They had 2 last week now one is in my boat. You will not find these starters anywhere on line under a 180.

Thanks for calling on the legal answer. It never crossed my mind that a person without one shouldnt net a fish but it does seem right. I fish out of the genny alot and have been stoped alot. Thanks guys. After looking on line cing all of them 200 and up I called west marine for the hell of it. They had 2 of them on clearance for 100 bucks. i was tempted 2 buy the second one also at that price

nice report. I put 2 rods down in a hundred a 20 and headed north. till 500 ft. only marked fish in 120, i should have stayed there
