Started out sat at 6 A.M. and just flat lined over 2 Russels and picked up a small brown on the return, almost at the end of the peir. Worked our way out north west 2 130 ft. one king 75 down on a black and tan nk. We were in the 20 ft wellcraft red and white cuddy (c if i can find a pic) the reason i bring this up, if you were one of the 2 boats next to me, the king spent more time in the air than in the water. Gave a performance better than the rochester air show.

I might be off track but this is a common problem with mine also and im sure its the valve seals. Engines dont want to run that slow. If i run under 3 miles per hour without bags, my engine builds up and starts bogging down and fouls the plugs after awhile. How it was explained to me is that when a boat sits, the seals harden after a time and oil and stuff is allowed to build up at low rpms. I dont want to loose my boat for a week right now to have them re-done so if she builds up while we are fishing, I might drop her in nuetral and blow her out, you will be able to tell with the oil junk floating behind you. If that doesnt do it, will pull in the lines, Open her up and she will eventually clear out. then go back fishing. The bags work great in getting the rpm up and avoiding this. Might be your problem might not.

Do you know if this rule is true for all destinations out of the US come June?It will be a pain but i just want to point out a reason why I ended up getting a passport last year. in a way besides fishing its a good idea 2 have passports with the flying rule in effect. Say your wife makes you go on a cruise and your outside jamaica and get into a accident of some sort. Its my understanding they cant fly you back 2 the states cause you have no passport and third world hospitals i cant imagine are that great. Then again Canada has free health care witch might work in a persons favor

I have a free 20 ft trailer bunk. good condition except you have to take the boat on it also. It has been sitting in my back yard for 2 years , tires still good it has a 1 7/8 ball while mine is a 2 or i would pull it out myself 4 ya. trailer is a 1990 maxum so is the boat, i have a title somewhere for the boat. but not the trailer, when i purchased it i never registerd it and its lost. Have to be the weekend (after fishing) 2 come get it and you would need 4 wheel drive to get it out but im sure she will come right out and im not sure the lights still work but they did 2 years ago. if your interested pm me

The last few years these fish have been turning up again. Has any one else noticed this? #- 4 years ago there were a few dead ones we stumbled across up near henderson on the shore. In the genny ive ran into some kids studing the river 4 them. The guy at the tackle shop said a little kid showed up with one in a bucket and wouldnt throw it back. And once at the the genny boat launch last year. 2 guys asked us what the hell they had caught.(they did end up throwing it back.) My family has had a cottage on Big stoney 4 almost a century, my great grandfather had told us that the farm family up there used to spear them way back when they came in to spawn. Do they stock them? Has any one caught one?

Im going to start parting out a 20ft maxum with a l-drive. Does any one need any of these parts? if you know the L-drive you know how rare these parts are, i wont kill you on the price but they are not going free. If you dont know what a L-drive is....you dont want to know.

peanuts would be the top choice i think 4 most of us here (those who will admit going after lakers lol) or a small flat fish, green or red

The humminbird is 3 screws but 2 would def hold it. I bought a 787c2 humminbird and love it, very easy to get going but you have a million ways to tweak it also. Lowrance seemed to have a more powerfull tranducer, and i think they claimed to track fish while your going 40 miles p/h. that sounds pretty cool . has anyone done that?

I had the oldest set of walker down riggers the great lakes prob ever saw 2 start out with. Might sound funny to some but i actually practiced in the back yard with the boat on the trailer. It really gives you a idea how things work , that way if you mess up the brake your not sending every thing to the bottom of the lake, ony a couple of feet onto the driveway. Theres some good posts in here on how far back to set your lines 4 how deep your running etc, etc, etc. good luck.

on a 350 witch is new 2 me im looking at 2 on the side of the block and the 2 in the exchangers? any one know if there easy 2 get 2? Like they ever made anything easy lol

Theres a chance i might buy another boat this weekend and need to hear it run, 350 merc. the boat i have now has a inner cooling system so taking care of the block is diffrent than it would be on the 350. With the weather going way down sat night, what do i do if i buy it, just drain the manifolds?

Well not much to report except the new water pump works great in the boat : ). Fished both side of the peir and the mud line for about 2 hours , o for 1. water was up 2 39 out there and a little warmer out of the river.

Call the paper now and they should have a add run in the lost section by tomorrow, i actually think its free

Iboats forum under mercruiser Will answer anything about this engine. It has some prone problems that they are well aware of. If I was you I would try posting your problem there and some one will def chime in.
