  4. Mike, Once again thanks for a great trip plenty of excitment despite the lack of lunkers! I only wish we could have weighed in the white buoy with the 100ft. of cloths line with the coffee can full of cement that someone so graciously left in 120 fow . Kurt it was nice to finally meet you, we should do a big gathering on the ice this year, if we have ice and you should come too Mike. Tom
  5. idn I used to leave for work an hour early and hit a few spots from shore on the way to work. Did really well casting into probably 6 to 8 fow using fire tiger colored spinner baits and just an old fashioned black and white 2 piece rapala if I was fishing from the lake this time of year I would stay out in like 12 to 15 fow and do some casting and don't forget the docks! Good luck. Forgot to mention one of the spots was off shore near the pump house and the other spot was across the lake at the county park. Tom

  9. Per the advise of "Chowder" also a member of LOU I leave the whole thing hooked up reel the diver till its about half way up the rod bring the leader down around the reel body and back up and attach to one of the rod eyes and then take a velcro strap or hair zingy and go around the rod at the head of the diver and another one at the tail of the diver...just throw your lure of choice on and ready for deployment Tom

Boat Depth: 140 - 265 Lure Depth: 30 to 115 ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ==================== Myself, my son Dustin, and his friend Franz had the privelege To fish with Mark "Skipper19" today. What a fun day! The day started out with Mark almost getting his finger ripped off setting up the copper...went to put the line in the release on the outrigger and wham!! Off goes a steelhead on a rampage. Dustins friend Franz got to handle his first copper fish after fighting the fish for a few minutes he said how much farther do I have to go Mark...Mark looked at him with a grin and said well you almost have all the backing in The action was really fast and furious for the first hour...in fact we were only able to set 2 rods up until things slowed down. After the morning flurry things slowed down with a fish here and there until 10 am or so and things just shut down... We had a great time lots of laughs... and a couple tired boys (Franz and Dustin are still chasing eachother around in the front yard) Mark and I found our way to the Hammock. Mark once again thanks for a great day from Dustin, Franz and myself! Another page in the memory books!! Mark I'm terrible at remembering all the details so add as needed.
  20. Amen Glen and I hope that all the men and woman over seas make it home safely. Tom
