  1. All can be picked up local in Rochester or shopped for about 6 bucks... Lot #2 releases (stackers) $15 Roamer release $5 All else sold. Probably more to come soon Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  2. Anyone know if they are getting their eggs at the salmon river hatchery? Hearing about plenty of fish coming up, was just curious, with the lower water and all... Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  3. I'm for it. It's a moderate decrease and they clearly heard our concerns about Lakers. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  4. You can still find guys for 12/inch... probably not gonna look as good as Paul (or fishmounter) can do it though. There is a very big difference between making your fish look like a representation of the species, and making it look like YOUR fish, which is what a really good guy can do. I am consistently amazed with the detail of the really good guys work- that's what you pay for. I wish I had more money... Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  5. Not a fan... Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  6. And out of curiosity, what measurements do you need for a good repro? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  7. Does a repro cost as much as a skin mount Paul? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  8. As far as general goals- laker 23+, steelhead 15-16+, King 30+, coho 15+, Atlantic 14+ (and man would I love to have one), brown would have to be 17+ Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  9. I did this 15+ lb brown last year... It was pretty, it placed in the loc and was part of a very good showing in the Sodus pro am. I will catch bigger Browns I'm sure, but it was memorable. I also mounted my first 30+ lb King, and that remains one of only 2 fish I've caught that size. I think it's as much about the story as the fish. My goal is to get a nice steelie... I'm actually considering really getting into stream fishing more for that specific purpose Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  10. The loc could do its part by making lakers a division in the fall!!!!! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  11. I like what I am seeing. And I've had incredibly good interactions with the dec folks about this. I'll be at the meeting in Greece Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  12. More like 80-85 down.... In my experience based on the zebra mussel test Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  13. I think the lake has naturally selected smaller fish, which are getting better and better at natural reproduction. Nothing in nature is an accident. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  14. None. Only had a few fleas on my rigger rods, and nothing to worry about Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  15. Close to my experience. I log every fish every year- my average day is about 6 for 8, going back about 10 years now. This spring I well exceeded that (granted some of it was fishing out of olcott). May 22 was my last "great" day, and that was the niagara pro am. From June on my numbers were way down. I never had my steelhead fishing or consistent brown fishing out of Sodus... A few good days here and there but a LOT of 1-3 fish days. My fishing contacts in Sodus would periodically have great days but I always seemed to miss it, and I've never heard so much grumbling about slow fishing on the radio. Salmon fishing out of Sodus was dismal this year. For the first time in as long as I can remember, I didn't have a single day with 5 or more mature salmon in July or August. Strange stuff for sure. I got my first official skunk in about 3 years as well. That was fun! I'm sure I could have padded my numbers with lakers, but if I'm fishing for me, I'm not targeting them... 16. I had some crazy colored greens- more fluorescent and chartreuse perhaps- with an orange stripe that took a few fish. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  17. No, like any spoon with green and silver. It was a mixed mag of nk, savants and moonshine Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  18. Finally a decent day! I heard there was a good King bite in 60-90 fow to the west Sunday night, so this am I went in front of lake bluff and set up on a ne troll. The screen was lit right up in 55-70 fow, so we worked that pretty hard. The fish were a bit slow to get going, but once we found them it was a steady pick the rest of the day. Our first hit was a good shot on a 150 Dipsy at about 930, which I'm sure was a salmon but we lost it. After that it was ALL brown trout. They wanted mag green and silver spoons on riggers and 10 color cores. A few really nice fish, with a bunch of small ones mixed in. We caught then between chimney bluff and east bay in 55-65. We ended up 8-10, with one jack King about 10 lbs (a male). Action was about 35-50 down. I know there were kings mixed in, but they just didn't wanna go (par for the course lately). It was nice to have active Browns to give us some good action... Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  19. My few days of good stager King fishing was a super fast flurry of activity followed by hours of nothing on either side. Really gotta make your bites count when they are like this. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  21. So to put it into perspective... April and May I AVERAGED 10 fish a trip (short trips, I never fish past noon)- since mid June that number is probably 3 fish a trip. I don't think I forgot how to fish, so... Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
