  1. Covey’s Cove in Olcott, Wilson House in Wilson. FYI you weren’t in our way. It was actually interesting seeing you there when we realized what you were up to. Another thought I had was the relative safety of that thing ! Safer than some of these other guys for sure... Also, you were close to our speed when traveling parallel and we are usually running 2.4 to 2.8 on the down speed. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  2. We saw you out there ! My only comment was that it would be hard to spot you from a distance if you got in any trouble. Pretty low to the water. Congrats on the nice fish ! You were all over our marks LOL. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  3. They were calling for southwest winds 10 to 15 knots and building. When we got out there, it was straight west wind about 20 to 25 knots. That Lake was very sporty. We didn’t spend a lot of time out there. I heard it laid down later in the day instead of building like they said. We had 3-5’s rolling through in 125 FOW. 4. Way to go Yankee. Thanks Gambler. Where's that pic ?
  5. So are they fishing today ?? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  7. Anyone happen to have a pic or link for the Leaderboard from St. Catharines ? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  8. We watched a guy in a little fish & ski out in front of Olcott on Saturday. We were laughing because he was basically fishing in all 4 directions at once because he had NO CONTROL over that vessel. The building south wind was eating his lunch. And we were in about 120 feet of water. Well, I'm not laughing now. That guy had his family on that boat, including 2 small kids. It just isn't worth it. We have a boat built for the Florida Keys, and we opt for the golf course on MANY days when smaller boats are heading out. God bless and keep those who have used poor judgment and paid so dearly for it.
  9. Are you talking about Lake Ontario ? The lake should be set up by the weekend. South / west winds tonight through the weekend. A low off the Atlantic coast means the wind will blow that way.
  10. This is SO cool ! I have a friend who met Dave in a local eatery when he was doing the NC show and he also said he is "just as nice as can be".
  11. Unfortunately the third was found deceased on the lake by the coast guard. He's in my prayers.
  12. Awesome ! Really wonderful news.
  13. Missing Kayakers Hoping this turns out well but it's not looking good. http://www.post-gazette.com/news/nation/2017/09/05/Search-Lake-Ontario-3-missing-kayakers-New-York-Pennsylvania/stories/201709050085
  14. The character assassination part came expected actually. You can smell it all over your grumpy sour grapes azz. I just want to hear some kind of proof that mature salmon, specifically salmon which are NOT staging or pre-staging, cannot be revived and returned to the lake for someone else to catch. Stop spewing jibberish and let's hear it. Younger more impressionable people read this site and may start believing your crap.
  15. Do tell us more almighty marine biologist. We want to learn now. Not "someday". I could have sworn those bright silver twenty+ pounders we sent back into the water were completely fine last trip. Documented facts would be most greatly appreciated.
  16. Hey shorelunch, you need some help there fella. I got Captain Paul's point from the get-go. He's merely making an observation as to something that he disagrees with and does not like. That's similar to what you've done ! The difference is you've now slandered multiple businesses basically unprovoked. Just what everyone needs in light of the current financial state of the region. Maybe you should drag your grumpy butt down to the businesses in question and tell them yourselves what you think of them instead of dragging them through the mud here. BTW - I've seen COUNTLESS kings caught, handled carefully, REVIVED and released back into the lake, All spring and early summer long. We catch them with hook marks on them all of the time. Seems like you are describing your own bush-league way of handling them and projecting on others.....
  17. Tuscarora State Park has floating slips in place and while the sides of the launch are under a bit of water it's perfectly doable.
  18. This caught my eye right away. I actually saw what had to be a sturgeon jump about 3 feet out of the water in front of the boat off the bar yesterday. This thing was huge. I'm talking 4 to 5 feet. Pretty cool. My buddy was setting rods and didn't see it. He suggested maybe I had a few too many on Saturday night...
  19. My apologies to shorelunch. He nailed it right on the head. That lake was and still is as snotty as it has been for months. Hope it sets back up to some "degree" very soon.
  20. Not even close. 5-15 East and Northeast for 2-3 days does not constitute a reset.
  21. Yeah last weekend. Plenty of bait & good temps, not so many cooperating fish (at least kings). Got into a good class of steelies at 300 fow and stuck with them Friday & Saturday.
  22. Ontario is not a country my friend.
  23. Can you be a bit more vague with the question ? What Country are you fishing in ?
