  1. We still have some of these hunts left! Drop me a line for info...
  2. Listing this boat for a friend who won it last summer in the Lake Champlain Derby. It has NEVER SEEN WATER, fresh out of the box condition. Comes with 50 HP Yamaha 4 Stroke & trailer. No fishing equipment or FF/GPS. Boat lists for over $17,000...he is asking $13,995. He has a bigger Bass boat & doesn't need this boat. The boat is located just outside of Rutland Vermont. Call Ron at 802-459-6301 for more info.
  3. Stinger Mag Gator UV in green & yellow both took plenty of hits last year!
  4. Live wire & Capt V on Bright high sun....Hammer time, white green dot & Glow frog on cloudy days.
  5. Temp is certainly one of the critical factors once the thermocline has set up. Finding that temp break below 50 degrees can make or break as wether your washing lures or putting them in the strike zone. speed def helps but there are other things that will give you an idea of what your speed is such as gps, blow back on rigger cables & pull on dispsies. The big difference is there can be great currents on the Lake that can greatly varie lure speed at different depths VS the surface. I have tried many different versions of speed & temp units...the new Fishhawk X-4 is hard to beat IMO... If you look back there is other posts on this subject.... Have fun!
  6. What's the beam width? How much space is there behind the helm seat? Thinking of a boat that would also make a nice late season duck boat...that deep v would be awesome for big water later in the season.
  7. Can you post other pics? Helm? crew seating? Does it come with riggers or electronics?
  8. Sorry guys...It opens up if you google it or hit his link on his Facebook page. Try it again here. www.theoutdoorgazette.com
  9. Interesting...hopefully as good as the X-4 Fishhawk. I have the probe but have yet to update my head unit. I noticed that Fishhawk now has the depth for blow back like the cannon unit has.....nice add!
  10. It's called the Outdoor Gazette & you can check it out at www.theoutdoorgazette.com The chief editor Fred Allard, is an avid outdoorsman & has kept the cost of running it very low with great ad listing prices for those with anything outdoor related! Check it out...think you will like it!

    Sweet Mulie!
  12. I started running the TX 44 last year & they pulled the 300's, 400's & 500's with ease. Now teaching clients how to reel them in is a learning curve in it's own...but as others have said you have to point the rod tip right at the board until it gets to the boat & then it's game on! I did loose a 300 copper as we had a King make a hard run & the client pulled , causing the board to dive...& ultimately broke off.... we were able to swing around & get the board once it floated back up....minus 300 copper... def going to set up with the mono inbetween this year.
  13. Certainly agree with many of the statements made so far, all GREAT spoons that we have had luck with at some time! Light penetration, (ie cloudy - bright sun- early morning) and time of year all play into what spoon to run. I had good luck with Moonshine & A NBK with glow cup in the early first light last season. But I also had multiple days that The King bite slowed...we slid in to pick up some browns .....& Kings Inhaled the smaller Spoons like Green Alewife & Glow Goby that I had put down while running in shallower water! When they get in close before the fall run you never know what they will hit!
  14. No doubt this a great deal that wont last long. Well worth the $$ Thanks Salmonite!
  15. This was our best 2012 Striper....a 34lb sow who had a already spawned out!

  18. Our team is def still intertested...would like an Am spot as this is our first round...but open to possibilities. Glad your hosting your Invitational again as well Tom! Even dont have a team together certainly look to observe again! Great time!
  19. Sorry guys!! Now that I have it figured out! LOL...Here is the shed found this morning !
  20. The outfitter doesn't over hunt the properties. As a matter of fact the reason these hunts are getting discounted is because the leases are about a 20 min drive from the lodge. Unfortunately most hunters want to hunt right out the back door or drive 5 min to hunt. I hunted out there a few years ago and had a 342 acre lease all to my self as nobody wanted to go to it. Saw plenty of deer & some bruiser bucks. I am personel friends with this outfitter. His wife does all of the cooking, you def won't go hungry! They offer a typical quick breakfast with cereal, coffe, fruit etc. Bag lunch that you pick itmes to take & a hearty home cooked meal every night. I just received a photo of a shed that they found this morning. This shed scores over 91"...with an equal side, a 18- 20" spread...WELL YOU DO THE MATH! This is a brute that is still walking. Just why they call it the land of the giants! Well.....guess when I figure out the new format to post a photo I will.......
  21. I have a great outfitter in Fulton county Illinois that I work with who is offering some limited discount hunts. He is one of the outfitters who boycotted the Harrisburg Pa sportsman show before it closed & now he is offering some deals to fill some spots. He has a peak rut hunt for $1600 includes food & lodging. If any one has interest please drop me a PM for more info & contatct #'s The buck below got his pic taken after the gun season! Just an example of what's out there!
