My Buddy & I went to pick up his boat out to the Curtis Farm yesterday. Upon arrival we were sadden to see a for sale sign out front. I know many on here have stored their boats at the farm over the years....great folks who never charged enough! Just a heads up if you have kept your boat there over the years... Don't think this will come as any surprise as sounding like a broken record, but tough going out there. Got a late start Saturday, not on the water till almost 4:00. Ran out heading north west to 275 fow . set up with riggers down 85 -100... Dipys out 240-260 & 2 for hundred coppers. Crossed into 325 & rigger fires. Nobody home.... Continued to about 360 & 400 copper fires. Had the fish on for about 2 mins....beginning angler had a tough time keeping rod loaded & we dropped it. Trolled another couple hours out to 450... Nothing Trolled back in at 275 a quick rip on deep diver with a spoon...but didn't stay buttoned. That was it. Sunday we decided to head east & work Brown's. Went 3 for 5 first couple hours....about 85-90 fow. Usual spoons...greasy chick wing & DW gobie took fish ....riggers & deep diver took hits. About 10:00 we head deep on a Salmon spread. Crossed 360 & 400 copper takes a wicked rip......this one stays locked! 21 major on UV green dot with Hammer Live fly. Trolled till 2:00....2 swing & misses on the rigger & that was it. Looking for a decent shape drift boat trailer to fit my 17ft. Thought I would look around before having one built locally.

I agree with Jakey....we caught ALOT of kings in 46-48 water last year....setting most baits below the 50 degree depth. We are catching Atlantic's on Champlain right now down 40 ft at 54 degrees.... When in doubt...fish the bait! Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Are you running them on braid or mono? I run mine on 1000 ft of braid with 20-30ft of mono leader. I run the slide diver on the mono....never had a problem with them sliding. Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Lake Ontario United mobile app
