It’s very stable and works well paddling or with a motor. I’ve used it on local small lakes and some for duck hunting. Not as comfortable as my Lund but a solid option. Can’t remember the model but it’s 16’ They can actually be tricked out and used as flats boats with poling platforms. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

I checked this morning and some have no barricades or signs. I called DEC and those are still closed to nonessential activity. Even though it may not be enforced and some may still be launching I will abide. Fortunately I may have access to a private launch, can drop my Gheenoe in at a local lake, or fish from the bank so I still can get out. With a May 15th date this will likely effect the opening of walleyes. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

I have a Thompson Pro Hunter 50 cal with BDC scope and it’s as accurate as my rifles. I shoot 3 pellets and shock wave bullets and it has dropped everything I’ve shot at. Also can use with different barrels. I also have a couple New England Firearms that work well for little money but ignition system isn’t quite as nice. I generally go to Bay Of Quinte for opening weekend and then hit Lisbon near Ogdensburg. Don’t believe either will be an option this year. Perhaps I’ll be able to hit Sackets , Black River Bay or Henderson area by then but to far to travel now. Plus us to fishing with 3 and running 8 lines on the lake and that won’t be happening. Maybe I can get my wife to go if the weather is beautiful. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app -

Just beware of ticks. They’re bad this year but we don’t need anything else to worry about. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app -

I stopped at Keewayden and Krings Point State launches and both are open as is Wellesley Island. 2 village launches in Alexandria Bay are open and one at Goose Bay and Fishers Landing are open. Also talked to Border Patrol I saw and he said as far as he new they were open if no barricades are up. Time will tel but I have a friend with a private launch and another friend with a dock he offered so I’m in pretty good shape. Still only fishing solo or with my wife and don’t have to travel over a few miles. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Don’t believe they can prevent me from putting my Gheenoe in the water along the shore without a launch. Strap on my 6 hp or paddle and I should be good. Not nearly as comfortable but.... The times I’ve launch the past month I haven’t ever been close to another person and fishsolo or with my wife. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Sometimes they work great but other times they only want minnows. When they work they can outfish minnows as there is less rebating and seem to catch bigger fish. Work well for crappies also. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
