Good job sean. Hows that trailer towing on the long hauls? Hope all is well! -
Thanks Mark. I hear that the DEC is talking of stopping tournaments on the fingers for a couple years? Anyone else heard this?

I like the bahas. i didnt know they had those problems. thanks for the info on what to look for. i currently own a sea ray, but i would like to move to a better fishing platform and something with a comfortable cabin with like what i have. I was looking at the baha at krenzer the other day. -
well, if you put it in gear and the engines running and the prop isnt moving is my guess...mine was screaching loudly and just a high pitch grind...take'er to hank!

mark i was wondering, are you using the big 5 fish totals between boats to get the lakes results?

Justin and his brother in law Rich went fishing with me yesterday about 1 pm or so. we headed out with some nice sunshine and some heavy west winds. we started below the "tiki bar" and proceeded north. hit ourfirst fish in less than ten minutes on the 4 color core. the winds were getting strong and the bait was heavy. We were being pushed over to the east side. we managed another Landlock and decided to make a turn, the wind did not agree with this, as we were coming into hector due to the west winds, i decided to pull in, pulled another LL on the 5 color core on a rapala. Storm moved in fast and hailed on us for a few minutes along with some 3 foot waves(coming from west to east) then switch from north to south then again from south to north. the winds were crazy. as we packed up and got back to the canal, the sun came out and the lake laid back down a tiny bit. called it quits. managed fish on spoons and sticks and lost one on the wire diver with F/F combo. here is the first fish. storm as you can see the weather back at the dock was sunny and nice.... here are some shots from the seneca cayuga opener.

Here is a story that happened last weekend. I decided to do an evening troll from about 4-dark, upon coming in i saw lots of debris in the water. As i scanned the trash, i saw a capsized canoe. And nobody in sight, mind you the waves were almost 3 foot and counting. The location was just south of the green light in the mouth of the lake by about 100feet. Water temp was 52.5 degrees in that area, i would assume someone might make a swim to shore. But my first instinct was to grab the mic. and yell mayday and get the sheriffs on the water asap. well after yelling it numerous times i grabbed the cell to call 911. I did find that they gentleman made it a shore and were in ok condition. However, the sheriffs have a boat on that end of the lake and they dont have a response on the emergency channel? Why? On sunday, one of the local sheriffs made his round through our marina and we asked him why i could not get a response. His response was. "We have a radio, but its never on, its too much confusion amongst the other dispatchers radio noise. Plus, by the time we would be able to get to the boat and on the water, it would be too late." How does this bennefit the boaters in the south end of the lake???????? So now we all know, keep it on 68 and yell, someone will be there fast, even if i have to plane my way down the canal.

hank i mean coupler......changed it in my rinker, brought the service truck home with the boom lift on her and had the new on in and on in about 45 minutes, then had to put the outdrive on of course....its not too bad of a job with all of the tools. a local marina told me i would never be able to do it myself, little did they know im an equipment technician lol they wanted 8 hours of shop fees

i have ran other things low right behind the boat and had them hit, sound like some sea weed come off last second or a landlock smacked her.
-
sounds like gear stripped out. happened to me, easy to replace yourself if you have mechanical background..part is not a bad price...
-
might i add that cayuga has alot more teams, so if you think about it. it is bad news for you guys.

landlock:)

along with the cable in contact with the spring, did you replace the control switch as well? i had the same problem, moisture got into the switch and caused it to go haywire, screwy louies in fairhaven did an awesome job for forty bucks to do a complete service on it..

it was a nice day to be out! glad you got out! i had the same thing happen to me, i was pulling in a line and thought i tangled with anotherline until i realized it was blue, i have pink line, i picked up a rapala about a hundred foot of mono and some split shots....free tackle is always a plus.

youre welcome. another thing that the manual states is, gently lock the lever in place without slapping it. also, play with your steering trim and it handles better if your boats trim tabs are in the level position too.
-
we had a good day as well. we got about 15 fish or soon the south end, if land lock had a lunker we would have it i was going to pm my results but got over here to steal dunkin donuts web and forgot my paper with the results on it. i will send them tomorrow along with pictures to come!! cayuga boys, dont get your hopes up the seasons just begining.
