  1. Nice job. Yesterday was tough after the big blow. Today, I made a bit of a move and located some nice gathering of silvers. The lake needs to warm up!!!! Nick Sent from my SM-G960U using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  2. The new pautzke scents seem good too. Just stocked up on em. Herring, shrimp, anchovies and nightcrawler. Nick Sent from my SM-G960U using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  3. I strictly use death traps and cowbells. Occasionally I'll put on behind the old trashcan(metal dodgers)! Nick Sent from my SM-G960U using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  4. The "stream" the water flows from plant discharge to the lake is about 200 yards... I have more concern over the constant hight temps pouring into the lake long term than I do over fish running the creek being effected. Before the plant first shut down that creek saw insane runs of trout of all species. After shut down it decreased. It has picked up in numbers for sure in my opinion. Look at last year's lack of rain, the crazy high summer temps and the lake that had 79 to 82 degree water for 3 months on the surface.... This has to have some contributing factors to the increased presence of blue/green algae, no? Or is it still agricultural at fault there? If someone needs a permit to put a dock in, I would assume there should be higher restrictions for the draw of water from the lake as mentioned numerous times by many, grates, flow controls, water sampling... I am sure there's any things being done about it, but there's still a great level of concern. The online petitions(I signed), for anti operations, must have not gone very far to combat the expansion of the plant. Nick Sent from my SM-G960U using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  5. Ditto, my feeder creek in my yard that feeds Catherine has the most water in it i have seen in 8 years. Ill be watching it like a hawk to see if any silver backs come running in! Nick Sent from my SM-G960U using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  6. Sampson launch is clean and clear. Water level is not drastically low like cayuga but is lower than normal. SENECA Lake resorts launch fee I believe is 7 or 10 bucks. Can buy a 2 or 3 day plus a seasons pass. I believe the empire pass is no good at the launch anymore. The marina is beautiful... Just a short fee weeks and we will be back home. 7. Buying new, $200 rebate via garmin until March 31. Sent from my SM-G960U using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  8. There goes the smelly jelly secret. Just kidding. It doesn't help, at all. Do not do it. Your arms will dislike it. There's days and times of day where the exact same rig with a skirt will out fish no skirt. (Same color spin n glow), as well as days the no skirt will out fish as well. Also, I have some where barely any skirt is left but a new one of the color will not work as well as the worn out rig.. Fish are weird at times... I do like single spin n glows behind a trash can though.... long leads. Nick Sent from my SM-G960U using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  9. No. Sorry. Sent from my SM-G960U using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  11. Make sure there's ample connection at the batteries positive and ground and as well as a solid ground on your block. A green wire or loose connection will give you the same results. First thing, test your key power at the starter solenoid in "crank" position. If you have signal power at the solenoid, ensure the cables are all tight. If so, time for a new starter/solenoid... If not, check the wires in and out of ignition switch at helm... Don't wanna waste money changing parts for fun. Good luck. Sent from my SM-G960U using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  12. Online registration is in fact, live. Nick Sent from my SM-G960U using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  15. I'll take, "What is water, for $600". Sent from my SM-G960U using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  16. The eel situation sucks. Let's have a little throwback to hownbad they were on Cayuga a short few years back. Balls, boats, paddles, divers all having eels on them. 2018 was a successful treatment i believe, however, this spring. 2021, is the one that will make the difference as long as the stars align to treat the lake. The unfortunate 9 years with the lack and inability to treat puts us where we are. I was really hoping for the state of the lake meeting this past fall after the lake wide study. Maybe we can ask for a zoom meeting for the lake? I'll reach out to DEC. I keep my hopes. Also, I believe Seneca Lake Pure Waters Assn. would help if there is a way? Food for thought anyways. 17. Nice job! The weeds on the south end have been relentless since the fall. Winds have not been in our favor to push them all to the shore. It should get real good when some of the snow starts running off into the lake! Sent from my SM-G960U using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  18. Make sure you install a hydraulic lock valve, if not your steering wheel will spin instead of the rudder moving.... Sent from my SM-G960U using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  19. What steering unit do you have? If its the factory unit by Hydrive,Hydride, have some advice for ya... Installed my Raymarine Ev150 into my 86 3100 last winter. Sent from my SM-G960U using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  20. I think its a great starting price... Anyone in the market for an outboard with controls and power trim knows the costs. No reason to worry. You will sell it. Sent from my SM-G960U using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  21. I use marine shrink wrap from Dr Shrink. My boat uses a 24x45 size to successfully do it without wasting material too. Also, just watch a "how to" video on you tube. The heat gun is expensive, but for me to purchase the gun, and materials, it would of cost the same to cover at a marina. I covered my boat this year for$85, thats with a zipper door as well. You will need: Wrap Nylon strap Shrink wrap tape Razor blade Heat gun-propane(have seen guys use trigger activated weed burners too) Maybe some 2x4 for your peaks. The biggest PIA your first time is stringing up the main supports... after that its easy. You have to be tight!!!! Nick Sent from my SM-G960U using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  22. If you plan on running a second battery, just install a Voltage Sensitive Relay between the two batteries... will always keep both batteries charged when either engine is running and if voltage ever drops below 13v on most, the connection is dropped as well. I use these on my vessel, 3 engines onboard and 1 relay per unit will keep all of my batteries charged no matter what engine is running. Sent from my SM-G960U using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  23. Thank you. I do it myself! Its easy and for what it costs to do it, well worth it. Nick Sent from my SM-G960U using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  24. Ahhh, I was bored on this gloomy day. Waiting on more boat parts Sent from my SM-G960U using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  25. Just kidding, counting down...... Sent from my SM-G960U using Lake Ontario United mobile app
