  1. Coming from the midwest, I was used to spending a TON of time on the Illinois and Mississippi Rivers for that fall walleye bite. Either jigging, which I absolutely love, or running 3 ways/leadcore with cranks. A lot of folks talk about the niagara, and I am not knockin it, but was hoping for some ideas on where to go. St Lawrence sounds kindacool, but heck, know nothing about that area.
  2. Seem some nice fish come out of hambury on erie. Some really nice fish. Lots of double digit. High in the water column on meat. Also would like to hear some chatter on walleye fishing out this way.
  3. John, nice work. quick question are your finding the migration pattern a few weeks earlier than last year? I wondering whether a "softer" winter or milder spring had something to do with it.
  4. Saw this nifty case today. Its called a spoon caddy. Kevin had one, and thought it was organized very nicely. Worth a looksie. Not sure where to get it but google spoon caddy. Sure something will come up.
  5. Nice work Howie. Yep, kevin and dj were talking about the great time they had over beers at Time Out's. Lots of good fish being caught.
  6. I dont have any run time experience with copper, though I have been on boat thats fished it. So, not much value there. I do use leadcore on rivers and lakes and just love it. Its tracks the boat great, so good control. I can get deeper if I add a snapweight to it, though I loose some speed control. The speed up and down control is very good too. And works great on those little spot on spot type places. I run 5 ft peregrines on the inside, and 9.5 gary roach on the outside. My leader on the river is a 4 foot and 8.5 foot smoke fireline 8/2. On lakes I will throw out a 10/20 foot flouro leader.
  7. Thanks guys. Very fun so far.
  8. Had the great fortune of getting relocated from Chicago to beautiful Buffalo NY. Had a fun time fishing Lake Ontario a few months back with a friend. Kevin from Ohio. Caught a nice fish too. He turned me onto the sight. Enjoying the fishing, loving the wings, and missing the Mexican food. Primarily a walleye fishing, but expanding my horizons since the 9 yo boy loves to fish. We have been icefishing, so thats fun.
