i have the same boards they are easy to set up and get fishing but nothing like using a planner board mast and boards . i have had them go under the water when a fish hits too . i made my tx -22 board with the weight in the back so the nose of the board rides high in the water and try to make the line in the release will release when the fish hits so the board floats till it slides down to the fish witch should be on the surface . i have not used them on copper someone else will have chime in . good luck on those big fish...
Port Bay
fished port bay 8/30 solo ..... 600 to 1 00 .had the lake to myself , the only 2 boat i seen were out deep . set up in 95 foot and trolled north . cold water 55 down ,didn't mark any thing till i hit 200 ft where i found bait and fish .trolled west with with three riggers 80 75 85 . ran j plugs ,spoons , cut bait , flasher fly . had no takers after 2 miles trolling west made a turn and came back east threw the way points i made where i seen good screens . ended with 3 for 3 day all 2 year old fish . all where taken on spin doc. and fly .
I would guess it would be how you have the switch wired in the switch in my boat nothing gets past the switch Fish Hawk sonar GPS/ radar a FM stereo electric downriggers ignition system no power gets past the switch so when I turn the switch off the boat is completely dead Sent from my XT1609 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
Port Bay
made your way of the bay and hit the lake to 2 to 3 ft roller with small chop on top from the north west not what i was thinking it was going to be .we set up with spoons , spinys and flies and meat .work water 170 to 250 foot . temp was deep 125 to 130 ft down ran riggers at 125 and 135 , dipsy 325 and 350 . mark bait and marks here and there , seem to be around 100 to 120 foot . we went 2 for 7 .had a bad day netting 2 of them and the others come unbutton .
i went to Screwy Louie's to get the stud fly , should have called first . cause he was out of them and said they go off the shelf as soon as they get them .

Cuyuga lake impress me every time i go there form 50 to 60 fish in the morning to lower numbers of high quality LL and bows . nice report and awesome pics .
i would burn the right ratio the motor should have . the plug looks lose or the plug casket is bad . or the plug threads on the head are worn might need a neela coil
i don't think your not that far off base . i have been fishing west side from deans north and south 90 to 200 foot 35 to 70 down getting mix bag of fish . speed 2.4 to 3.2 . pink tuxedo cold uv a mi stinger spoon been doing the job well.. lakers like it too tho LOL. when i hit bait pods i work the hell out of them then move on to the next bait pod . speeding up and down when seeing marks making zig zag turns ... Good Luck
