    looks like a repeat of last year , heavy wet snow storm state wide ( some places getting up 2 feet ) and up coming rains there going to be bad flooding.

    you can look on walleye lake Erie under boats for sale . there a few there least you can get a look at different options that they come with

    try trolling a little fast than normal with the sutton spoon i found bows and LL like the radical action they get around 1.8 to 2

    Tony Buffa Charters is the top gun . he will show you what you need to get the job done . my go to was buck tail jigs, swim blades ,worn harnesses with a bait walkers and drift . have trolled stick bait a and worn harnesses with luck too . but i prefer more of hands on when eye fishing .

    i switch to the micro lead last year . like you said had same issue. i did the same as above post have said . i too had the lead poke through the sheathing . after getting the lead back in side the sheathing i used gorilla super glue that stop the lead from poking out .

    algae bloom most likely . seems to be every year now . it comes and goes as the water warms up . not sure who dose the testing probably the dec . when it test safe they open it back ...

    the two finger lakes i fish were high in the spring . one permanent dock was under water for a little while and floating docks were fine and you din't need hip waders to get on the dock . by mid june every thing was fine

    the way thing are going we will be lucky ice will be out by the the middle of April . Putneyville west to the nuke plant is good . or Sodus point west to maxwell creek

    The fish dying off .the lake going to hell .most likely a trash burring plant going in close to Sampson park . now the state getting out of the marina at Sampson , witch i agree not a bad thing . could probably mean heavy construction going on . you said your self you sent some of your clients other places due to bad fishing . i think its time to slip on Cayuga or on Ontario , put fish on the deck and better your charter business. keep an eye on the Seneca area if it improves maybe go back or not ....

    tell that to the Black river and the Niagara river in the spring . they can roar with the run off

    if you took a water sample from seneca it will be clear as shine then a sample from cayuga you see cloudy murky and planking in the water. for being connected i believe water flows from cayuga to seneca but that worries me also

    i would like to beat Fishsticks in one of the finger lakes derbies . all kidding a side . would like to meet more fisher men / women on the the lakes we fish help out who i can with fishing information . continuing staying safe and i too want to keep from breaking the boat and put fish in the boat ..Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to every one ...

    i have a TC omega i bought for the starter in line and i still using it . when i first starting shooting the gun i couldn't get no better than a 3 inch group . i was loading the gun with 100 grains of pyrodex and powerbelts cci 209 primers . i switch to 100 grains of triple 7 and hornagy sabots with the xtp bullets . the group got better but not where i wanted it to be . then for some reason i loaded it to max load 150 grains of triple 7 same round the gun became a tack driver . for years now that is what i load 150 grins of triple 7 and 250 gr hornady sst cci 209 primer . i like it so much that i hunt with gun all gun season . for hang fires i never had one . this is how i load the gun after a wet patch dry patch i use a bore butter patch with no breach plug in . clean breach plug so i can see light threw it . put some breach plug anti seize on it install . then a 150 grains of triple 7 and then put a little bore butter on the sst sabot . then seat the round not to crush the pellets ....

    here in NY it's not required to wear orange and it should be . basic hunting safety course taught me to treat a gun as it always loaded to keep the muzzle pointed a safe direction at all times and to identify my target and beyond . these things keep me accident free for 42 years now THANK GOD . there was an accident shooting this year here in NY a lady was walking her dog on a trail and was shot and killed the hunter shot after sun set and now is up for manslaughter charges . he was so pump to take a deer he shot at movement after legal hours. what was the lady wearing i don't know . to many hunter don't follow the basic rules they were taught .
