  1. Fished Cayuga out of Deans Cove ran south to AES set up shop on a north troll running coppers, cores, dipsys, rigs, and riggers... Flasher fly bite was tough only managed 2 nice lakers on the new blue Big Weenie Fly and caught a ton of 14 to 15 inch bows and Landlocks on coppers and cores but couldn't find any bigger off fish... We finished 3rd overall in the FLTA tourney we were in ... I have to say it was the toughest day of fishing on Cayuga I have seen in a while and not just for us.... Have to mention that Lakebound 88 and Hookedup kept sending me texts and pics of the awesome day they were having on Seneca Great job guys and can't wait to get back over there this weekend and possibly a couple days off next week to fish too.... Im actually rigging stuff up right now for a tournament on Cayuga tomorrow and cant wait... Love fishing outta that new Sportcraft... Thanks Again Guys Mike
  3. Launch at Severe or Lodi... Fish Lodi side out in about 200 to 450 fow... Fish flashers and and flys down 260 and 210 for lakers and set riggers cores or coppers up between 70 to 55 fow for the off fish... Good luck.. Mike [ Post made via Android ]

  6. In my opinion and its only my opinion lol Seneca lake is by far the toughest lake to fish but once you learn some of her honey holes and they do change season to season it can be very tough going then throw in weeds and fleas and it can become a fisherman nightmare.. All I can say is it takes a lot of time and patients but after that it will come a lot easier... Good luck guys Mike [ Post made via Android ]
  7. Great job and great report.... Great job giving those people a hand, some just don't respect how water and weather conditions can change at the blink of an eye.. Mike [ Post made via Android ]

  14. Been Rigging up a friends 20 ft Trophy for a couple weeks now and finally got it done and ready for its shake down... The three of us headed out of his camp on Seneca at 530 AM Saturday morn and ran south for a bit turned and came back north and setup shop in 400 fow ... We ran dipsys coppers and cores ... It didn't take long and we had a nasty smash on the dipsy, handed my friend the rod so he could boat the first fish on his boat, we got the 8lb laker in and no longer did we get the rod reset and the 300 copper fires with a 4lb salmon.... Then the Storm clouds came in and by the looks of the sky we decided to run to the launch just in time to tie up before we got soaked... Waited it out for about an hour and headed back out 730 AM and went back to the same spot thinking we might have missed the bite, Oh man were we ever wrong, we killed the lakers on the wires for the next two and half hours and some smaller salmon and bows on the coppers and cores... I think we boated 27 lakers total in 6 hours of fish and at least 10 salmon and rainbows..... What a day to break in a boat.... If my friend wasn't hooked he is for sure now.... All the lakers came on Iron Duke and Seneca Ghost Big Weenie flys and after all those smacks on both of them they still looked like they were brand new ... I can not say enough about the product Gary at Big Weenie produces ... Sunday we took some friends out on the duke out of Watkins and ran north ... The weeds were so bad on the east side we were forced to fish the west side were there wasn't a lot of activity on the screen but a whole bunch of us fishing the same area ... The fishing was extremely slow but did end up 7 total rainbows and salmon , most fish were on copper and cores but the wire picked up the best salmon of the day on the Iron Duke Fly..... Mike

  20. Thanks guys!! I didn't get to fish out if the new boat yet but will be fishing out of her for the first time Saturday during the Shoot out... Weeds and fleas are so bad that we will be working our butts off to keep those lines clean and hopefully all this hard work will pay off... Mike [ Post made via Android ]
  21. Ya Dave weeds are horrible!!! And if it wasn't bad enough I see the power boat association is gonna be doing a poker run next Saturday while we are fishing... So those weeds are going to be all stirred all up...Glad I could help at the dock.... Mike [ Post made via Android ]
  22. When I think of Seneca lately all I think about is weeds and fleas and making sure I bring the Advil to take care of the headache I know im gonna get when dealing with them... ... We ran north today and set up shop running riggers, cores, coppers, dipsys and rig rods everything was quiet except for the riggers they where getting pounded hard by Rainbows and Browns... The first Bow of the day hit so hard it jumped the rod in the rod holder and then doubled it over all within three seconds and was way airborne in 5... .. We finished the day 11 for 11 and finished fourth in our FLTA Tourney we where fishing in today..... Next Sat is the first annual SENECA SHOOT OUT and cant wait found a couple great spots today and hope they will work for us next week as well.... Mike
