It was all out last sat there was 3 boats fishing 2 guys in each boat didnt see much lifting though. The boat launch still had ice thinking they drag the boats off the point. There was a little ice floating around also. Hope this helps. In from the gap by the island from there into goose bay still had ice but looked spooky.

Sorry to here about your sister-in-law Kevin.I was hoping to take small lund out this weekend also or maybe go check to see if any of the creeks have opened up to get some crappies, still probably alot of ice. I am wondering about the walleyes at Rossie if they have started to move up in there yet i got to believe it will be awhile yet.

I put all my ice gear up and started to get small boat ready for may 3rd. I was gonna give it one last try today and figured it would be more productive to start getting the boats ready. If you went hope you had a good day Kevin.

Headed to Krings tommorow just wondered how ice conditions were and how the bite is there or should i make different plans on going to LOTI or Chaumont. Thanks

I would say aleast 30" LOTI

I got to work tomorrow but hoping to go sat. I am not sure where to go might try chamount,LOTI,or krings i will have to make a couple phone calls to see what the bight is like on the lake, I had a guy call me before i left work and invited me down to 3 mile bay, said he would be fishing sat till monday not sure if that ment the bite is starting or what.

Went to loti fri moring caught tons of fish with very few keepers in my eyes. We caught mostly perch but very small also caught few bluegills with almost the same results i guess still a better day than working. Tons of ice yet.

I have fished millsite myself also, fished around 70 fow about a 3/8 to 1/2 oz. pimple and as many as 5 little gold hooks for steelhead, was not uncommon to get 3 to5 smelt at a time. I have not been there in probably 8 years and live 15 min from there, a buddy of mine went there a couple weeks ago and filled a coffee can full with his cousin twomin just a few hours so it sounds like they still get them pretty good. I have heard the blow ice is really bad at mud bay talked with a marina owner and he said most guys are fishing chaumont this year. He said you can spend alot of time drilling holes tring to find fishable holes due to the ice. I thought about going down sat afternoon just to see for my self.

Was at Wellesley island this weekend lots of campers, lady at the toll said they would be doing business until end of oct. so I would say you should be safe to camp there this week for sure as long as she knew what she was talking about.They have a real nice launch and a small marina-bait store the TI bait store is not to far from there anyway. Went up north to Waddington this morning didn't fair to well, we fished from about 6am to 12:30pm, me and one other guy in my boat , I caught one smallie around 3lbs he caught a couple gobies. My other buddy had two guys in his boat they caught one eye, one smallie and a 36" muskie. We didn't fair to good on the eyes thats what we were after. We ran into a local and he ask us how we were doing and we told him it was slow, he said I got a couple if you want them you are more than welcome to take them, very nice of him. When I got home I cleaned them and to my surprise one had eggs in it maybe that is normal but I am thinking not. We trolled and drifted worm harnesses I ask him what he was using and he said rapalas. Naturally I did not have any with me, he was in about 8 fow to about 14 fow maybe I will have to go back next Friday with more of an arsenal.
