  2. oh yeah like I can pay attention to the bait
  3. also I got some great advise on here... during our steelhead double we ended up making a mess out of one of the lines with a fish on and I had to make the decision to cut it away and in the process found out the line with the fish was tied up also and got cut so fish gone! I had just read on here the day before that fish that make longer run and break people off end up floating for a little bit so I kept my eye open off the back and we saw him floating with our flasher and fly!!! we made a quick turn and went back and got him in the net 3 feet down as he was struggling and had the flasher to try pulling with him!! Success!
  4. I shot out that far because a buddy said thats where they ere hitting them in the morning and the only boats we saw on the water were also out there
  5. I had a wave push me sideways to fast during a turn and my dipsey went right across the back and tangled everything...... this was with brand new wire on.. I was so pissed $50 down the drain but i saved it
  6. those okuma reels worked great!
  7. I waited for dad to get out of work and headed out to oswego and got on the water a little after 2 went straight out to 300 feet of water and the seas were very rough for my 19 footer and continued to get rougher.. we had trouble keeping normal speed because every time we went down hill on a wave we would gain speed and pop the releases Anyway we hit one king in the first 10 mins then a few hours later we doubled up on 2 steelhead the biggest being around 8-9lbs decent results given the struggles we had it was pretty miserable out there
  8. 30 lb ff with no issues
  9. imagine what 2 more moths would have done to that fish!
  10. going to have to make it a late trip, im looking around to see if the 13mpt north west winds will make it not fishable in the 19 footer... opinions?
  11. lots of fish in 45 down over 200 today from what I heard.... fish were up high
  12. The results are in On the okuma 45 I used what the line count said was 500 feet of 30 zebco line I got 160 yards of foe $1.99 at dicks Then 1000 feet of 30 lb wire went outside and took a 15 foot measuring take and measured 200 feet roughly and then rant the wire to the spot counter said 196 close enough for me
  13. did the knot fail? wast the line old/frail? thats heavy duty line to break
  14. what LB did the first fish break off?
  15. bob I think what you offer as far as customizable spoons is the single best thing you can offer. I think many people have their favorite spoons and dont want them to go into high production mode and have every boat on the water have them as an option. I think your customizable service along with the reports of your customer service will be the best way to grow
  16. its more about having a full spool so the line counter reads correctly and the dipsey depth is correct.... see the other thread about wire on spools not full and how wrong they read
  17. now there is an idea! I will post results
  18. that is doable thanks!
  19. well at this point its a little late because thats what I bought 2 of
