  1. that is what I use mph gps speed It is hard for me to be consistent in my boat but anywhere from 2.2 to 3.0 is ok for me.... if over 3.0 due to win I drop the sock in if under 2.2 I bump the throttle up
  2. I also know people who swear by it.... im guessing that the oil leaves a trail in the water and the scent follows it and the amount you would spray on it would seriously do nothing to the water
  3. question for ya I see you can order 3 at a time rigged.. can you order say 6 rigged like 3 sets of 2? instead of 2 sets of 3
  4. not bad colors! if you want another suggestion Mountain Dew w/Mountain Dew/Crush Glow and the white with green dot

  7. It looks like ET's finger! you have a pm and email
  8. the amount you let back is different for everybody... some people like it short some like it longer..... some people here will say 12 feet... I like about 35 feet back it as all about where you have success... I would say anywhere from 10-45 feet back is normal for a spin DR watch this that is a spin dr about 6-8 feet back off the ball where the camera is mounted
  9. these look very cool im going to buy a set and try them out
  10. OK. Thanks for this idea. I know that there would be no exact way to measure. But I see your idea of 3 to 1. So 150' back would be 50' down, 90' back would be 30' down and so on. Thanks for that! Dennis that kind of a rule of thumb..... it all depends on what setting you have them on and what you have pulling them and so on
  11. you are talking a matter of feet the ratio says 3 to 1 ish so 210 over 74 is almost bottom...... how do you know fish finder isnt a few feet off? could be a hump on bottom 2 3 feet higher? there is no exact science
  12. oh yeah like I can pay attention to the bait
  13. also I got some great advise on here... during our steelhead double we ended up making a mess out of one of the lines with a fish on and I had to make the decision to cut it away and in the process found out the line with the fish was tied up also and got cut so fish gone! I had just read on here the day before that fish that make longer run and break people off end up floating for a little bit so I kept my eye open off the back and we saw him floating with our flasher and fly!!! we made a quick turn and went back and got him in the net 3 feet down as he was struggling and had the flasher to try pulling with him!! Success!
  14. I shot out that far because a buddy said thats where they ere hitting them in the morning and the only boats we saw on the water were also out there
