  1. Yeah with the NK's being bit up i figured he caught more fish on them than the Eyes, Going to to an evil eye program this weekend and see how it goes. I'll decide then.
  2. Any tournaments/Derbys going on in Sodus soon? I'm looking to compete in my first one this year? Thanks for any info
  3. We did good on deep diving thunder sticks in a black, orange, and chrome pattern late August to early September. I second the 17 to 30 pound mono. The flourocarbon leader in 15 to 25 pound test is crucial in my opinion. My success rate has definitely increased since I started. [ Post made via iPhone ]
  4. It works it just disappeared! It will come out next weekend. [ Post made via iPhone ]

Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name: ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s):6/24 Time on Water:3 hours Weather/Temp: Wind Speed/Direction: Waves: Surface Temp: Location: LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: 2 Total Boated:2 Species Breakdown: Steelhead Hot Lure: NK 28 metallic green, silver with blue tape Trolling Speed: 2.5 Down Speed: Boat Depth: 150 - 200 Lure Depth: 90 70 60 50 ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ==================== Shot right out of the shoot and set up in 150 foot of water and started marking fish from 70 down and up. Not many larger marks but there was some mixed in. About an hr in the steelhead pictured below was boated and within ten minutes we had a 16 inch skippy in the boat as well. All released, all on spoons, f/f took nothing. Heard Ruff Rider and LakerTaker over the radio. Was going to say Hi but the Mic went awol. [ Post made via iPhone ]
  8. Just curious on how you guys store your trolling flys. I have a booklet looking thing with what looks like sandwich bags inside. I'll post a picture later. Anyways i put 10 flys in there and its full. I'm trying to find something i can fit more in. Thanks for any input.
  9. Hjat Bow is absolutley GEORGEOUS! Great fish!
  10. Hmm seems everyone has their own idea. When i used a ball bearing swivel versus a loop knot or connector such as on my picture above i got less action out of the fly. It just didnt seem to whip around as much when i looked at it 10 ft back 3 ft down behind my rigger.
  11. So about these here Evil Eyes. I have a crap ton I was given but have neglected to use them so far. I know in his past all my Grandpa fished as far as spoons went were NK's and Evil eyes. However the NK's are all scratched and bit up where as the Evil Eye's look relative knew. Anyone ever have success with them?
  12. This should help. Once again these are averages but it semi accurate within a few feet in my opinion. I keep these charts in plastic sleeves for all the sizes in a small binder on my boat. I have it relatively memorized now tho
  13. Possible, but no way in h&$l I am touching that [ Post made via iPhone ]

Set up at 100 and trolled out and hit the kingin 180 on a 42 second spiny 42 second atomic fly combo 80 down over 180. Next the laker popped the release on a mt dew spinny green/glow hammer time atomic fly 105 down over 170. Steelhead came on stacked green puke NK 40 down over 180. Decent day. Back at it tmrw depending on this weather. Here's the king n laker, steelhead was a bleeder. . [ Post made via iPhone ]
  17. Do you guys use a ball bearing swivel, a fixed connector, or a knot to connect the fly leader to the attractor? Having a little debate here. Haha
  18. Only place I've ever seen contenders is dicks. Never actually tried them though. [ Post made via iPhone ]
  19. Decided to hit the water by myself. Drove around a few minutes trying to find some bait n marks and saw a some good sized marks 70 down over 8o so i deployed my big balls and sent em deep at about 6:30. The right was at 65 with a cheater and the left was at 45 down. After setting all my lines I look over to my right rigger and the rod tip is dancing but no release. So i released it and pulled in about a 2 pound lake trout. Perfect eater size so he went into the cooler. For the next half hour had two releases on the deep rigger but with nobody home. The dipsy took off on something big 120 ft back on a 2.5 setting and about 50 ft down. Unfortunately after 20 seconds of strong pullling the line went limp and she was gone. Bit ojn a SD hammertime and blue crush DW fly. From then on it was dead. The two releases and landed fish were on a mixed veggies stinger scorpion and a custom green/glow ladder back sutton 44. The browns are still avoiding me. Next time I hit it its going to be strictly a brown program running the top half of the water column. I Will find them!
  20. GET EM! Ill be launching out of Port Bay tmrw evening and Sunday morning. Seems to be I've always had more luck rocketing out towards sodus and starting in 100 then straight out of Port Bay. I've always figure because Maxwell is right there. Anyone else have similar experiences?
  21. I may have some like that, I was given 100's of spoons from my grandpa who no longer fishes b/c of health issues. Alot of the old style nk's and devil eys. i remember seeing some spoons liek that. Is that the canadice killer? haha
