  1. I hate that. We hooked a 10 pounder off one of our rigger earlier in the season. Only way we knew there was a fish there was because the rod kept dipping with the head shake. Sometime I think they bite just to go for a ride.
  2. Anybody know where I can some 30#? I want to replace mine and all I can seem to find is 20#. A guy told me that there not making it for the time being because theyre out of the plastic?
  3. Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name: ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s):7/3 Time on Water: 2 hrs Weather/Temp: 88 Wind Speed/Direction: sw switching to nw Waves: 0 at first building to 1 ft Surface Temp: 72 Location: LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: 3 Total Boated:2 Species Breakdown: King, Steelie Hot Lure: Mtn Dew Spinnie/greenhammer glow atommik, and Blue puke board with silver hammer atommik fly. Trolling Speed: 2.1 Down Speed: 2.5 to 3 Boat Depth: 180 to 220 Lure Depth: 120, 100, 90, 80 ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ==================== Started out slow straight out the chute marking only a few fish. so we decided to take a north east bearing and picked up a 5 pound steelie on the blue puke board with atommik silver hammer fly about 80 ft down. Gave us a nice aerial show before we got him in the boat for a quick picture and released him to fight again. About a half hour later we picked up a 15 pound king on the Mtn Dew SD and Green/Glow Hammertiem fly by A-Tom-Mik. This fish gave us H&*L. When we first picked him up he ripped out a good 100 ft of line and instead of staying straight out the back he started shooting at us tangling the port side stacker with him. Luckily he didnt get in the dipsy wire. Anyways as I'm starting to untangle the line he got caught in it starts to POUR!!! Right when the first rain drops hit the fish shot underneath the boat in between the rigger line and the motor. Uhoh! We quickly shut the motor off and averted the rigger tangle but he managed to wrapped himself in the motor. By now all He*%L has broken loose and somehow we managed to get the net underneath him and pull him in the boat. Had to cut my brand new 42 second fly off at the leader causing me to rerig it but oh well. Lets just say that fish was not returned to the water . Overrall a decent two hours. Be out for a good 6 on sunday, will post a report after. Tight lines to all. GO GET EM!
  4. Crotch cricket? Lmao the names of spoons, flies, flashers, etc never ceases to amaze me. Now that I know there's a spoon out there named crotch cricket I want it. Awesome fish guys. [ Post made via iPhone ]

  8. Yeah with the NK's being bit up i figured he caught more fish on them than the Eyes, Going to to an evil eye program this weekend and see how it goes. I'll decide then.

  11. We did good on deep diving thunder sticks in a black, orange, and chrome pattern late August to early September. I second the 17 to 30 pound mono. The flourocarbon leader in 15 to 25 pound test is crucial in my opinion. My success rate has definitely increased since I started. [ Post made via iPhone ]
  12. It works it just disappeared! It will come out next weekend. [ Post made via iPhone ]

Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name: ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s):6/24 Time on Water:3 hours Weather/Temp: Wind Speed/Direction: Waves: Surface Temp: Location: LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: 2 Total Boated:2 Species Breakdown: Steelhead Hot Lure: NK 28 metallic green, silver with blue tape Trolling Speed: 2.5 Down Speed: Boat Depth: 150 - 200 Lure Depth: 90 70 60 50 ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ==================== Shot right out of the shoot and set up in 150 foot of water and started marking fish from 70 down and up. Not many larger marks but there was some mixed in. About an hr in the steelhead pictured below was boated and within ten minutes we had a 16 inch skippy in the boat as well. All released, all on spoons, f/f took nothing. Heard Ruff Rider and LakerTaker over the radio. Was going to say Hi but the Mic went awol. [ Post made via iPhone ]
  16. Just curious on how you guys store your trolling flys. I have a booklet looking thing with what looks like sandwich bags inside. I'll post a picture later. Anyways i put 10 flys in there and its full. I'm trying to find something i can fit more in. Thanks for any input.
  17. Hjat Bow is absolutley GEORGEOUS! Great fish!
  18. Hmm seems everyone has their own idea. When i used a ball bearing swivel versus a loop knot or connector such as on my picture above i got less action out of the fly. It just didnt seem to whip around as much when i looked at it 10 ft back 3 ft down behind my rigger.
  19. So about these here Evil Eyes. I have a crap ton I was given but have neglected to use them so far. I know in his past all my Grandpa fished as far as spoons went were NK's and Evil eyes. However the NK's are all scratched and bit up where as the Evil Eye's look relative knew. Anyone ever have success with them?
  20. This should help. Once again these are averages but it semi accurate within a few feet in my opinion. I keep these charts in plastic sleeves for all the sizes in a small binder on my boat. I have it relatively memorized now tho
  21. H&*L YEAH BABY!!! Now that's a king!
