On the fall as they're making there way to spawn the enter the bays. On a calm day if you fished the mouth of the channel with deep diving thunder sticks you should be able to pick some up. 20lb seagur. A little more expensive but has a thinner diameter compared to other brands of floro. I never use mono as a leader. [ Post made via iPhone ]

Many guys run a V-setup and they use the middle rigger to attach a probe too. Dont necessarily catch more fish.

We lost our best paddle/fly setup and a few spoons. No more than $40 buck in gear but the season isnt over yet!

Metal rod holders. My buddy thought plastic would be ok until that king ripped the holder and his entire wire setup off the boat.

I run 10 ft minimum, 30 max for summer kings. Experiment until the fish tell you what they want. I usually start with a 15 and a 25 if I'm only using a 2 rigger program. The ball closest to the surface gets the longest lead. [ Post made via iPhone ]

In my opinion local tackle shops are the way to go. There pretty close if not less than many of the big name stores like dicks. For example A-Tom-MIK flys are actually a few cents cheaper at WARRENS HOOK LINE AND SINKER in Sodus opposed to DICKS SPORTING GOODS. They're selection out numbers them 100 to 1. No braid on dipsys unless you want to catch 30 pounds of fleas. 30lb 7 strand wire is the best option. Can use heavy mono but the stretch can be too much [ Post made via iPhone ]

Don't know about port credit but if you have a bait that dives 100 ft on its own I want to know about it. You may find a skippy king but if you can get a deep diving stick bait that dives to 30' you could probably find some steelhead. [ Post made via iPhone ]

Also thinner weights suck as pancake weights glide through easier but if there's a west current and your trolling north there going to kick out to the side more than a rounded ball would. [ Post made via iPhone ]
