  6. The boat I recently purchased doesnt have the cleanest lines on it as far as the under paint goes. Now i was wondering if stripping just those areas will clean it up good. I plan on repainting the whole underside anyways but would like to keep the line right at the water line not 4 inches above so any suggestions? Thanks
  7. I stuck a rapala hook into the side of my thumb and out my nail one day last year.

  9. Having experienced fisherman aboard to that won't try ripping out without moving the handle away from the rod holder sides. This can strip the cork right off.

  12. Thinking about hitting up one of the bays tmrw morn and set up a 4 rod spread to troll sticks. Now my question is what the typical patterns are. I'm assuming 10 to 20 ft of water over weed beds? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
  13. WEEEEOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! Time to dust off the planer boards
  14. Walleyes are present in good #'s if you can find them. But generally they are over shadowed by the salmon and trout fishery we have.
  15. With these fishing commercials I wonder if the fish they show were even hooked. Or if they had them in a tank and just hung the lure from their mouth when they presented them. Theyre always hooked perfectly right in the corner. Something tells me otherwise. Haha
  16. In regards to King Davy's post on page 3 I also agree that Steelhead are much more respected than say the Kings and Browns. Ive fished these tribs for close to 5 years now and I cant remember more than 2 times Ive seen the steelhead abused opposed to the kings and Browns which as we all know occurs everytime we go out in those early fall months. In my experience obviously the kings are snagged the most but the browns come in second I believe is obviously due to the closeness of the runs. As a tributary fish however steelhead are obviously the crown jewel but when it comes to boat fishing everyone wants their hands on a screaming dispsy rod. Now i would like to see a comeback of the Atlantics but not at the expense of the Kings. Besides many charter captains lean on the kings to fill their boats with clients and with this being a future dream of mine I dont want to see them take a backseat either. They are simply the most powerful bully on the lake and the 300+ foot runs are mind boggling to new fisherman. But as a taxpayer if this is a lost cause and truly dead money i say its not worth it to make a giant deal out of it. Just keep it where its at now and dont expand.
  17. This is true. My buddy's father had his boat out cruising around and hung up on a boulder. Luckily he was just doing about 5 mph watching the bald eagles in the trees.
