  1. Looking for a qualified surveyor for a boat I'm looking at, The boat is in the Utica area, I'm in Syracuse area, so someone close to this location would be best. Any help would be appreciated.
  2. would like to learn more, could you text me your phone # to 315-575-6304
  3. I tried calling the phone # listed and get a recording from a lady from a clinic. Is the number posted correct/
  4. you'll find Jack at the SS Marina a stand up guy, he has non ethanol gas. He can also help you with locating a cabin if you give him a call. Just leave a few fish for the rest of us.
  5. Looking for one of these, any thoughts on where to get one
  6. Thanks for the video Dave, how do they get away with going back and forth on the boat holding the rod with slack and the fish stays hooked? Seems like I don't have the same luck;
  7. Ron, tried to send a PM, can you confirm you received it?
  8. Ron, could you send me pictures, may have a win/win situation for you. I have a 19' aluminum tracker with 120HP Johnson, center console, ete ( we can review details) that I'd be willing to trade with you and still give you most of what your asking. This will provide you the funds and allow you to keep fishing. Any interest in this or would you prefer to sell outright?
  9. Thank you for the insight. I guess there are two 18 mile creeks. The one we would thinking of going is an Erie Trib, near Hamburg. I have had enough elbow to elbow fishing being on the SR this Sept-Oct. The trib looks nice and long with a catch and release zone. Have steelhead and browns made it up to the catch and release zone yet? Either way we will have new scenery.
  10. Morning Everyone, Thank you in advance for those that post. This website has been a huge asset for my father and I on Lady O for the past few years. During Fall and Winter I fish the Salmon river every weekend sometimes twice if I am allowed My buddy and I are going to stray off the SR this weekend and try 18 mile. Have never fished it before so we are going in blind. I was wondering if you had some advice on access points, parts of the river to try this time of year, it would be much appreciated. We fly fish and I am bringing the pin. Any different patterns that work better in the west would help not not asking anyone to share secret holes or fly patterns. Just a general sense of where to go. We aren't fans of crowds, well who is? So we do not mind walking. Thanks again for the advice!
  11. L.J., Nice to meet you on the deck, that was me and my father coming in the same time as you. (Yellow shirt in fourth picture) Tough conditions out there prob should have stayed in the 60-70fow. Blanked for only the second time this season. Congrats I knew that fish looked bigger than 25 pounds. Look forward to see you out next year! Jimmy
  12. Dad and Brother went out on Monday and this morning. Said the waves were getting bad for our 19ft Aluminum, 3 footers or so, hopefully they calm down by the time you get out there. Tell you its hard to work while they are out there having a great time. Marking a lot of fish suspended at the 80-90ft range in 90-120fow. Green SD and fly combos have been taking most of the fish. Dispeys out 250-275. Today were a lot of hits and misses..... Hope this helps as a starting point good luck.
  13. Nice silver king. they are going to be low this time of year. My buddy went out last night playing around didn't grab anything. They will be far and few between. I'd give it a week or two. Never know!
  14. Was up on salmon river with the in-laws doing a tube float on Sat. They have been wanting to go since the beginning of the summer. Saw several salmon as high up as Ellis Cove. They didn't look too good, being extremely dark. The river is extremely low so must be exhausted trying to run now. Still can't believe a saw a salmon up there in Aug 10.
  15. Hope the weather holds up to go out Sat morning!! Nice fish!
  16. Hey might not get much information with the big A-Tom-Mik tournament coming up with weekend. We were out last weekend cold water was down 100 in 180 fow. With all this wind the temperatures could have changed. Sorry not the best update but could be a starting point. Good luck!
  17. Good thinking with Harbor Fest going on this weekend. I spoke with the gentleman at Wrights and he let me know that they will have additional parking up near lake and W 1st. So it shouldn't be a problem. Golf carts bring you back and forth from the launch to your trailer. He did state that when foot traffic gets heavy later in the afternoon it will be difficult to get your boat in and out. However they are there to help get you out of there. Thanks! Jimmy
  18. Ill can pick them up from you tonight. 315-200-6996
  19. Nice fish, started my fishing on brook trout on family camp on upper black river. My grandfather started fishing there in the 1930's and told stories of catching over 100 brookies a day with 2-3 lbs. Not so much today. Good to see there are a few places still around that support this great & special fish.
  20. Thanks again to all the info, looking forward to fishing for the new boat.
  21. Thanks again for all the info posted above. I'm going to take time and look at as many options as I can. No hurry on this, we are catching fish with the boat we have and I'm in agreement with Richard in many of this comments. Thanks Kuba for the info on those 2 boats will look into this. Have a friend that lives in Port Credit, beautiful area in a great Country, we are fortunate to have good neighbors in Canada, and thanks for the Atlantic Salmon you've been sending our way.
