L.J., Nice to meet you on the deck, that was me and my father coming in the same time as you. (Yellow shirt in fourth picture) Tough conditions out there prob should have stayed in the 60-70fow. Blanked for only the second time this season. Congrats I knew that fish looked bigger than 25 pounds. Look forward to see you out next year! Jimmy

Dad and Brother went out on Monday and this morning. Said the waves were getting bad for our 19ft Aluminum, 3 footers or so, hopefully they calm down by the time you get out there. Tell you its hard to work while they are out there having a great time. Marking a lot of fish suspended at the 80-90ft range in 90-120fow. Green SD and fly combos have been taking most of the fish. Dispeys out 250-275. Today were a lot of hits and misses..... Hope this helps as a starting point good luck.

Was up on salmon river with the in-laws doing a tube float on Sat. They have been wanting to go since the beginning of the summer. Saw several salmon as high up as Ellis Cove. They didn't look too good, being extremely dark. The river is extremely low so must be exhausted trying to run now. Still can't believe a saw a salmon up there in Aug 10.

I would be interested how many do you have?

Good thinking with Harbor Fest going on this weekend. I spoke with the gentleman at Wrights and he let me know that they will have additional parking up near lake and W 1st. So it shouldn't be a problem. Golf carts bring you back and forth from the launch to your trailer. He did state that when foot traffic gets heavy later in the afternoon it will be difficult to get your boat in and out. However they are there to help get you out of there. Thanks! Jimmy

Thanks again for all the info posted above. I'm going to take time and look at as many options as I can. No hurry on this, we are catching fish with the boat we have and I'm in agreement with Richard in many of this comments. Thanks Kuba for the info on those 2 boats will look into this. Have a friend that lives in Port Credit, beautiful area in a great Country, we are fortunate to have good neighbors in Canada, and thanks for the Atlantic Salmon you've been sending our way.

Would like an suggestion on helping me select a new boat suited for LO. Currently I have a 19' aluminum center console made around 1994 by Tracker. Boat works well but looking to upgrade to something better. Most of the issues with the tracker is on the windy days its difficult to troll into the wind and keep it straight. Also could use a little wider boat, more room in the back and more storage. A key factor is I trailer the boat and I can't go too big. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The marina on the south end is great, no problem launching and the owner Jack will help in any way, has food and other good stuff if you need

Fished the Derby both days, the largest fish was a Laker less than 9lbs, I think 8lbs 10oz. We caught good numbers of fish Saturday and we lucky enough to win 2nd Bow. Tournament was a success with about 190 entries and around 30 in the kids division which is always good to see. Started taking my sons to these tournaments 23 years ago and we haven't missed one since he's been 4 years old. The South Shore Marina does a great job on this tourney and this year handed our trophies for all 1st place winners and many of the kids. The only down note here is there were no brown trout taken in the lake, those that placed took the fish from the tribs, this used to be one of the best brown lakes years ago, hopefully it can re-coup and offer those over 10lb browns again.
