    I bought the nautilus ones that can also be put straight down for trolling brakes. In the normal position I never noticed anything even in the bays of the eastern shore. Against or with the tide. In the down position for trolling they drop my speed at idle from 3.5 to 1.8! I got them when I repowered to a 4-stroke, the new motor was very sluggish compared to the 2-stroke even though I went up 25hp more.
