  1. Wow, I haven't seen a screen like that on Seneca in awhile. Wonder what the arcs up in the 50-60 ft range are? Don't here much in reports about the other trouts/salmon in Keuka other than lakers.
  2. Yeah I was getting pretty frustrated and was considering going back and trying to drag the ball in front of those arcs on the bottom, but with manual riggers and fishing solo, maybe I am just a little lazy too.
  3. Had a tough time finding fish over this 3 day period. 9/4 - Went out in the evening for a couple hours in the rain. Stayed put in the south end fishing along the rocks and then across and up to the Salt Point. Didn't mark much and no releases. 9/5 - Waited for an early wind to die down and hit the water around 9am. Headed north and trolled between Long and Kibbe, but couldn't get anything going. Also fished a little north of Long and marked some big fish on the bottom, presume lakers, but could't get a bite in the upper part of the column. Trolled a little on the east side working my way back south and hit some weedy areas. Did get into some good topwater bass fishing in the evening which were the only fish of the day. 9/6 - Finally had some success on thursday am. Stayed south and worked some deeper water. Finally found some bait and the fish followed. Got 4 salmon, kept one that was hooked deep, and a small rainbow. Lost a nice salmon. All fish came off the riggers down 55ft with long leads. I know I could probably get more fish if I ran some lines deeper but I really prefer salmons/browns/rainbows. It seems that if you target these fish exclusively on Seneca you can be in for some sloooooow days. Oh well, better than working and I had the lake mostly to myself.
  4. Glad you got out and had a productive weekend, great report.
  5. Great report, sounds like an action filled morning, great pics as well.
  6. Very cool pics and vid, nice fish makes me psyched to get back out tomorrow, haven't fished the lake in a couple weeks..
  7. Nice brown, he looks unsure about the tie.
  8. That is a nice looking brown, looks like he was getting ready to spawn.
  9. Nice looking fish, like the setup on the pontoon, why not
  10. We saw a lot of these in champlain, never heard any definitive answer on cause, my best guesses would be 1) previous hook injury 2) inherited genetic deformity, they even had a name for em but I can't remember it
  11. glad you had a good trip, great report
  12. Nice report, those look like some happy customers, good work.
  13. No problem man, how you'd make out?
  14. Wow, fat brown, makes mine look like a minnow! Must a put a good bend in the rod. Thanks for the report and pics.
  15. Up before the sun, got to the lake around 6:30am and on the water by 7. Headed north from my camp on the southend and set-up north of Peach Orchard on the east side, hoping to get some trolling in before the winds came up. South winds were building pretty quick and being solo decided to head back to the south end out of the waves. Setup along the east side, no weeds and minimal fleas which was great. Headed north I marked some nice fish in 50-80ft over 120FOW and picked up a small silver. Made a turn and headed south through the same stretch the 70ft rigger fires with a nice 4.5lb brown. Just as I was putting him on ice the 225ft slide diver started peeling line with a nice 3.5lb silver. Headed across toward the salt point and picked up 2 more smaller salmon and with the wind going steady and more pleasure boats zooming around decided to call it a day. All fish came on DW SS, blue dolphin and and orange/green pattern (forgot name).
  16. Nice report and pics. Glad your engine ran well.
  17. Sounds OK to me, at least you got a few and had steady action.
  18. Great report thanks, way to go helping those folks out.
  19. Hating on poor Seneca. I do feel your pain though, it can be tough going for sure, but when its good its very good. I can't really say I have been slammin them lately.
  20. Wow, great report, sounds like some good fishing.
