Mostly east west. Was in 60 to 80 with turns but mostly in 70. Current was running west, neede a little more gas heading east. Fish the marks and bait.
When you get on them stay on them.
Set two riggers. Deep one was an NK mag black and green with a white belly.
Second 10 feet up was the Pirate. Pirate was slamming so I put down the second. Ended up pulling the dypsy, it was just in the way. Had doubles twice and being solo and no autopilot I just go with the flow.
Was running 2.0 to 2.5 at the ball.
Fished 60 to 80 for Browns. 70 feet was best with riggers down 50 and 60 doing most of the damage. Solo trip, also had a dypsy out that never moved.
Fished 730 to 1130 and boarded 16 Browns and two small kings. Pirate Crystalina mags did most of the fish.
Most 4 to six pounds, couple around 8 or 9.
Maybe if you have a four man team and some luck/skill.
I prefer simple sets. Two down, free sliders if I’m not running more than 15 feet behind the ball. Two slide divers.
My best Browns have been on mag spoons more often than not.
All of the above. Usually where 60 ish water meets bottom enhanced by pearl essence water and the presence of bait.
Assuming the last two they will hit in warmer water and higher speed some days.
Quick solo trip looking for Browns. Lines in at 6 and out at 8. Landed 6 all 4 to 6 lbs. 35 to 45 feet of water. Riggers at 20 and 30. Slide Diver with 100 foot lead and 80 feet back. All took fish, running mag spoons. 64 surface, 60 down 30.
Good for you! Lots of people here that are happy to help. Won’t be long and you’ll have a king almost spool you. I’m looking forward to the pic and story.
