    In 2000 fall derby 14 out of top 20 were over 40lbs. In 2004 my 34.06 came in third. I almost released it.

    Getting to be that time of year when Kings start paying less attention to temp. I’m curious to see what things look like in the morning. Have caught some of my biggest kings in August fishing for Browns.

    Great report. You go above and beyond for your customers. The gas you burn running a boat of that size the distances that you do to put people on quality silver fish is admirable while others drag bottom for lakers when they can’t put their clients on silvers inside. Good stuff. 👍

    Down temp at 3.8 = probe failure and can’t be fixed. Hopefully less than 2 years old and under warranty or you’ll be buying a new probe (been there done that). Seems to be a common problem. They will give you a discount but still sucks.

    I have a “seasonal” pond in my backyard. I always wonder if we had it dug out whether it would hold water and be viable and what it would cost.

    High octane pump gas containing ethanol will take care of your issue. Ideally half a tank or so on top of what’s in your tank. Burn through it and return to non ethanol marine fuel.

    Wife and daughter wanted to take a quick boat ride and I was curious to see what temps looked like inside. Decided to drop in 120 and put two rods down. 95 down I had 48 degrees and was pulling a Spin Dr fly. 85 down was 60 pulling an NK28. Five minutes in the deep rod fired with a nice King. While I was reviving the king off the side of the boat the other rod fires with a small king. Would have wanted to keep fishing but was overruled lol. Inside looked good. Plenty of bait and marks. Hoping to get out in the morning and spend a few hours.

    Fished till 1130 in 100 to 110. Riggers down 90 and 100. Caught 5 Browns 2 small Kings and a pretty Atlantic. Dipsy rods never took a hit.

    Short window for me in the am, going to drop in 300 and work northwest.

    Was hoping to look for Browns in the morning and had a little time to check temps this afternoon. Northwest wind blew in a bunch of crap warm water. 74 surface in 100 and 73 100 down. Slid out to 200 and still warm down.
