my buddy has one that is just trashed but that thing produces. it even went to alaska and came back. its beat!
only seen the gator crush in yellow, do they have a green one also?
ran a lot of the same spoons as most people here. standout spoon for us was UV gator stingray on leadcore in the spring and copper in the summer but it shut down after July.
I must be one of the few boats that didn't land a single fish on SSW or 42nd spoons. or carmel dolphin
we were out also quick afternoon trip yesterday. had a double and that was it for us. 20# king and a nice coho. 125 FOW. marked a lot of bait balls but not many fish. F/F for us, one on a dipsy out 325 and one on a deep rigger
here's an update:
used slide diver with a new ring on sunday (old one eaten by line). slightly better results using the spring and 40# mono. this time on a 2 setting. still getting grooves though.....
the grooves are far away from where the line exits the diver. i dont think these are from slippage. im pretty sure they happened when the diver tripped and slid down the line. i ran 8" flashers behind the slide diver.
