we were out also quick afternoon trip yesterday. had a double and that was it for us. 20# king and a nice coho. 125 FOW. marked a lot of bait balls but not many fish. F/F for us, one on a dipsy out 325 and one on a deep rigger
here's an update:
used slide diver with a new ring on sunday (old one eaten by line). slightly better results using the spring and 40# mono. this time on a 2 setting. still getting grooves though.....
the grooves are far away from where the line exits the diver. i dont think these are from slippage. im pretty sure they happened when the diver tripped and slid down the line. i ran 8" flashers behind the slide diver.
Have way too many. These I got from another member when I first started out, he tied them. Lots of greens. First $30 takes it. Buyer pays shipping or local pickup works.
TowBoatUS has a port in Oswego, just checked. I would rather use them than make a fellow fisherman pull lines and spend the rest of the day towing me in. Not saying that I wouldn't help someone out tho.
