    go with a 12# or 15# flourocarbon leader, the thicker line makes the willis knot easier. then you can always tie a swivel to the other end and a rods legnth of your 8# if your set on using that. but your talking june i wouldn't go that light id prolly just run 12-15#

    they are the same size as the standard dipszy. you can fish anywhere from 5-50+ ft depending on what weight is in the diver and what type of line/ how much line you deploy. yes you can have whatever legnth lead you want between spoon and diver.

    the water was so cold in mid-end of june last year we were still getting lots of fish on 5 color cores. 50-200 FOW. looking like its gonna be another cold water spring
