  1. So how many total lakers in how many hours when targeting them.
  2. Had one on a dock fly right up and walk right towards me. Looked down and he had a broken off jplug wrapped around his wing. Threw a rag on his head and removed the jplug and he flew off. Those darn rats with wings are smarter than you think sometimes. Casting live minnows and having a duck clamp down on it....thats a whole different experience.
  3. For Lake Michigan, I still dont buy it. There are bait clouds everywhere. They just arent in the same places that they used to be when the lake was green and they were doing surveys with nets. Any fisherman with will tell you that there are clouds of bait hunkered to the bottom once the sun comes up. They are at the bottom for safety since the water in gin clear. Once the sun hits the horizon, they come up off the bottom and your fish finder looks like a christmas tree. Last year it was hard to even catch fish during the power hour since there was so much natural bait. So other personal observations: 4 years ago there were so many alewives that if you went for a cruise up the Milwaukee river a pack of 20 gulls would follow you because you were chopping them up with your prop. 2 summers ago, they go to the point where they almost had to start sweeping the beaches again due to them washing up on shore last summer, it often looked like a minefield of floating alewives on a calm day
  4. - play "what what in the butt" by samuel at full volume - toss coins off 1 reel in the rod holder. Just dont have someone miss. - if someone brings cookies on the boat - everyone takes a cookie and cheers it with everyone else
  5. Not really sure - just saw that they came on with a new one on their website.
  6. I know that everyone mentions the V pattern when setting their lines. However, since you run longer leadcore closer to the boat, isnt that the opposite? Should I be put the shorter leadcores out with more backer to make it into a true V pattern?
  7. Just do it right and get some metal ratcheting rod holders. I personally run berts on my boat with a 24" track. Might be expensive at first, but better than losing a wire rod in the drink.
  8. Mine always says....hey, the water is right there and its April 1st. Why are you ripping me apart again? This years list - 25 foot Cobia CC - New speaker install and full stereo/speaker rewire - Completely strip all of the vinyl stripes and decals - Remove all of the fittings on the side of the boat - Fill/fair/finish 25 years worth of dings and scratches - Wrap sides all in vinyl - Rebuild a live well/cooler and the gelcoat - Regelcoat any holes that arent going to get covered by vinyl - Replace all of the switches - Complete cabin redo - New fridge - Add a washdown - Complete new binimi windows and aft curtain - New rocket launcher - Add another fish finder - 10 other random things
  9. I decided to add a new Raymarine dragonfly 5 pro to my setup. I currently have a A77 so I'll have normal sonar and then dual chirp with the Dragonfly. The cool part is that the Dragonfly has wifi so you can put the dual chirp up on a big tablet.
  10. I just picked up 2 of the 30 series batteries cabelas batteries. They are the ones I picked after about a week of research. I havent put them to the test yet, but by the specs they are the best out there for the money.
  11. So you are saying put a 20ft length of mono after the wire? How on earth does that join get through the rollers and reel?
  12. Everything that has been paid for has been shipped. Last bump before the unsold items head to ebay.
  13. Time to pick out some new leaders and swivels to use with my 10 leadcore rods. Usually when people post things, they only just say use this and that but dont really post the exact make/model/part number. Post what you use and please post part numbers or links if you can. That will help me out and others who are looking for the correct gear. For leader material (usually a 20ft leader on leadcore) I've been using Seaguar STS in 20 and 25lb http://www.amazon.com/Seaguar-Fluorocarbon-Fishing-25-Pound-100-Yard/dp/B00F5E6YI8?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpage For swivels, I've been using Sampo CoastLocks, but Ive heard that its better to use something with a wider end for better movement of the spoon. Any suggestions? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Sampo-3-X3CB-Nickel-Solid-Coastlock-Swivels-Pack-of-3-Fishing-Tackle-Salt-Water-/380738499606?hash=item58a5c87416:g:HBQAAOxykMpTILYA
  14. For that reason they already removed phosphorus from dish washer soap.....hence why you now have to wash you dishes before you wash your dishes.
  15. Just lowered the prices on everything that hasnt sold already.
  16. Do you currently have soft or hard ablative paint or something else. Do you leave the boat in the water all year? If its just a new coat and you already know what you have on there, its really easy to do and you shouldnt bother with paying someone to do it.
  17. Thought it might be fun and informative to see how baits are running at certain speeds and maybe catch video of a fish crushing a bait. http://waterwolfhd.com/en/
  18. We have a crap ton of gobies on the Wisconsin side of the lake. We also actually have normal bait on our side. We actually catch a fair share of naturals on our side that come from the Michigan side - we really dont have any natural reproduction on our side of the lake.
  19. Terry - just sent you a message regarding the payment details.
