Just heard a rumor, but the sources are very reliable. I Hunt out on the west side a lot, and rumor has it that HURD farms has shot over 100 deer in the last year with nuisance tags. Bucks, Does, Fawn....everything. Just leaving them to lie and rot in fields. The DEC is aware of this now and not much action has been taken. Hopefully the surrounding land owners will start to fight the state and DEC and make some changes. Just because you own a farm doesn't mean you can slaughter every deer in the area. My guess is they might even shoot turkeys to protect their fruit trees.

We fished for 3-4 hours yesterday and had a hard time finding good water. And very few marks in shallow. We fished 6ft to 20ft. Might be worth going a little deeper. Didn't have a single release. the only good part was it was a beautiful day out. Good luck

Predators, Too many of them. Shoot all of em!!!! This year i noticed the birds are in different areas in years past. Hopefully you see more birds in late season! Good luck! My problem this weekend was too many birds! i called in 2 gobblers but had 3 jakes bust me at 10 yards behind me, came in silent and gobbled right behind me. Smart birds! Good luck to all hunters......As far as brockport goes, i hunted the area opening day and didnt hear a shot or a gobble.

it's sad that guys do this, 3 years ago i caught a walleye on april 3rd. that was a possible state record. measured 37" and was so fat and full of eggs( estimated weight 17-20lbs) . i took a few pictures and released her to go make more walleyes. plenty of time to catch and keep fish during the season. Hopefully the DEC does start to look into these things. Also heard rumors of guys keeping sturgeons down by the fishing access at Genesee River. Look out for guys who have no care for fish and game.

So i heard a rumor that the DEC stopped guys at irondequoit bay to check coolers and ask about the fish catch and caught a boat with walleyes in the cooler. They took the boat and possibly arrested the guys? Not sure anyone else hear this? People need to learn conservation.....guys like that are why we have low fish populations. Good job DEC..
