  10. Fished our 3rd Bald Eagle Tournament of the year. Ended up placing 4th this week with a box of 64.00lbs with 3 kings. All 3 fish over 20lbs. We started with a mini pre fish on Friday. Which ended with boat problems and very little information on where to start fishing on Saturday morning. We ended up having to run around and get parts and work on the boat in the heat....not fun. But once we got the boat running good we focused on making a game plan for Saturday. We started in 60 fow right near the glass house, and worked 60-90 fow for the first 2 hours or so. We caught Steelhead, Kings, Lakers and an Atlantic. It was great. We had 16lb lake a 17lb king and a 10lb steelie in the cooler. And started our game of Upgrades. We decided since we hadn't caught anything over 20 we would just bump out a touch and keep going east with the waves. Bumped out to 90-120 and continued to catch fish. We moved all the way out to 200fow. And caught kings and steelies all day. After upgrading fish and having a cooler full of kings...had probably 3 fish at 20 or just under. We made a decision that we didn't wanna end up in Oswego with the waves pushing us, so we picked up and motored all the way back to our original marks. Since we had such great screens and figured it would be an hour or so to troll back to Bald Eagle from there. We instantly hooked up with multiple majors. At the end of the day I have no idea what fish was what when we weighed in cause we ended a box with 5 kings over 20 and 2 more in the high teens. At the dock we weighed our box and had to choose between 3 kings that all were within a few ounces of each other. Well we picked our 3 biggest and the went to the scale. Best Spoon Mag Moonshine Beefeater on 10 color... probably took 10-12 shots. Best Meat Rig was Minion Flo Bot on Divers Barley took any rigger fish. Overall we probably went 30-35...or somewhere in that range. It was an action packed day. Best part of the whole day was this Tournament was for BAC (Boater's Against Cancer) Breast Cancer has affected Team Always Something more than I can even explain, so this tournament means a lot to us and we all fight and fish hard for extra support. We all rocked Pink and even represented a few local captains for some extra added fun. Great Tournament and I hope it gets more attention each year. 11. Water got warm inside again. Browns have been in 25-35fow..but that was a week ago. I fish out of Bald Eagle 3-4 times a week. Start in 40 and work ur way slowly out. I just know right now you gotta keep close to the bottom til you get out deep for temp. Probably some good browns and Lakers 40-80 Sent from my LM-V405 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  12. It's out in front of Braddocks now... probably 100fow and was right in the channel this morning Sent from my LM-V405 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  13. 7/6 Bald Eagle Tournament Series First off congratulations to Legacy in the 1st place win. Such a close tournament! Always Something was less than 1/2lb behind the leader. We managed to put 3 nice fish in the boat but we needed just a little more weight. We left dock at 5 and headed towards the nose. I decided our game plan was to go past all the cold inside water and work out deeper. We fished 180-325fow just east of the nose all day. And 265-280 was our best water. Our Minion Meat Carbon 14 with the custom Minion Black Glow paddle was the only rod that fired more than once. I had that rigger set between 90-100 all day. That took our first and biggest king. Around 21-22lbs. Then after that Dreamweaver spoons took the other fish. One nice king on a rigger with Sea Sick Waddler Mag spoon. And the other king was on a 10 color on Salmon Candy Mag. All the fish came in a very small area. But over a Long day of trolling. We didn't put a lot of fish in the boat but we did put the ones that count. Always a great tournament and was happy to get paid and add some points to the overall tournament. Good luck out to everyone for the rest of the year. Side note ..our final fish came on the Salmon Candy spoon....and the hook held on for dear life as that fish screamed out some line. But we managed to still land it! 14. I've been running them since April. Definitely a great reel. No complaints. Definitely have handled a few good screamers Sent from my LM-V405 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  15. Congratulations guys! Nice Win! Being an "Amateur" I enjoyed talking with a bunch of different guys about the days of tournament fishing they had. I fished Friday for the first Leg of the Oak with Wrist Therapy, great weather and great fishing. Normally I fish out of Bald Eagle on my Boat and I opted out of the 2 days of Tournament fishing against the "Pros" because honestly it's definitely a tough tournament and I wasn't ready to put up the big bucks, just yet. If they had an Amateur division for this tournament I would love to fish it. 3 and 3 would be great or even 5 and 5. I spent a little time this weekend fishing for steelhead just to see how I would do putting 5 trout on the boat. Either way it would be a nice way to add more boats to the fun in the weekend. Great tournament and I loved just following everything! Congratulations again to everyone who placed! Sent from my LM-V405 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  16. Bald Eagle has an open launch. I know Sandy is basically underwater Sent from my LM-V405 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  17. We fished on the west side of devil's nose and went 4-7 in about 3 hours. One king around 17-18lbs. And then a bunch of browns. Lost a nice king on a stick bait. It had the drag screaming and just came unbuttoned. Fish gave us quite an acrobatic show. Sent from my LM-V405 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  20. Went out again for a nice quick morning, starter inside and only picked up 2 quick browns. Decided we wanted to try for Lakers out deeper just for something different to play with. Went to 50-60foot and started getting Lakers off the bottom with a Green flasher fly combo. Played around out there for an hour or so then headed back into 15ft. Once we passed 20ft rods started firing and got our first king of the year! Ended the day with 8 Lakers, 7 browns and a king! King took a SS Bay Rat goby. And the browns chewed on R&R spoons and Bay Rats. Fun day with some friends! Very excited for this season! Sent from my Moto Z (2) using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  21. Thanks guys! I downloaded a manual online and hopefully put it to use this weekend. Gunna check out the whole steering system and see what I can figure out. Sent from my Moto Z (2) using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  22. I have an Auto Pilot on my boat, Raymarine X5-R (ST6002). I've actually had a bunch of issues and wanted to see if any has some help or insight on how to fix it. With that being said, my first complaint is that the auto pilot is definitely not accurate. It seems to go off course a lot and in rough seas, it's really bad. And last year I actually had the wheel fall off, fixed it and noticed all the screws were very loose. Hence it falling off. I did not do the original install. Well this year upon this year's shakedown I realized the wheel doesn't steer well to the right. I was not the original installer of the auto pilot, but have basically torn it apart and "fixed" it. I want to actually calibrate it and try to make it work the way it should. I've had several guys tell me auto pilot works great In rough water. Any thoughts on where to start or maybe something I'm missing that would spark a thought. Thanks again for the help. Sent from my Moto Z (2) using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  23. Home port mini shakedown.... Left port about 8am.... first trip out of home port. Took a 10-15 minute boat ride down towards Sandy Creek. Turned around and headed with the wind back towards port on a West troll. Worked 8-20 ft. Boat ran great, still needs a little TLC. But once we got set up we started picking away at some cookie cutter browns. Bay Rats got all the browns. And we took a Laker on a dipsy with flounder pounder moonshine out 20 feet. Wind started to pick up and we packed it up. Just happy to be out and working out the kinks before Kings start to show up! I was happy for a quick 2 hour shakedown. Will be back at it this weekend. 25. Have 2 -10a riggers. Work great and have always been reliable. But I wanted something a little better. These riggers work great just a little slower and I only run 10lb balls. Looking to sell as a pair. $300 for both riggers. 585-208-4748 Tim Sent from my Moto Z (2) using Lake Ontario United mobile app
