  10. Yeah, back in my first life I had the string deal on my big hoist, way better. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  11. Yeah, I may end up doing that. Been thinking about your method of entering from front. Hoist controls are towards lake, have been entering from back. Maybe removable planks so Tasha and Mrs. can get in the front. Will keep experimenting.😃 Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  12. I have a board spanning between hoist legs. Didn't think about hanging a rope, good idea. Also have a 72lb. Senior canine that loves to boat, but not so easy mounting and dismounting. Somehow manage to get it done. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  13. Hehehe, have limited funds to work with😉. Also have to pull hoist out in fall. Don't have pics, not sure I'd know how to post them here anyway.😭 Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  14. That looks like a good idea My trouble is stepping from my dock down into the boat. The fishmaster is so much deeper than my last boat. I have to step from the dock down onto the storage shelf in the boat, then onto a small st ool, then onto the floor. Not the best or safest method, but haven't been able to find anything else. Any suggestions appreciated!
  15. Ed, thinking of getting out this evening. How are the weeds. East or West side? Thanks. Hop
  16. Really nice fish, Bob. You will be happy to know I have a brand spanking jigging rig all set and ready to go. Another arrow for the quiver. Now to find some time to try it out...

Glad you had a good shakedown. Regarding the weephole, I had that problem for years. Found out that in the fall spiders like to build nests in that small hole. End of season I now put a piece of electric tape on outside of hole, haven't had a problem since.

  22. A big congratulations to you, Les. A big congratulations to you, Les. You can now shrug off the label "always a bridesmaid, never a bride." Although a smigen of luck was certainly a factor, by far your first place trout was the result of experience, knowledge, attention to detail, and tenacity. Well deserved, very happy for you and Mark.
