  1. Sure does seem late. I`ve got a trail cam pic from two weeks ago with a deer looking at the cam from about 2 feet. You can see the bumps on his head where new antlers have started.
  2. Ah ha! I think I`ll keep that info in my back pocket in case he tries any "funny stuff". TY.
  3. Please don't put the hex on me.I don't want to get skunked on Derby weekend.[emoji29] Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  4. I knew you were a man of many talents, but didn't know you could practice black magic. [emoji6] Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  5. Water temp back down to 43 yesterday. This wind has mixed the water up. Yes I know there is a line through these sentences. No, I don`t know how to eliminate it.
  6. Yep, that's the one. Sounds like you fellas are catching some good numbers. Good luck this season. Maybe we'll see you on the water on Seneca. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  7. Off topic but I have to comment on Tom. One of the most honest, nice fellas I`ve ever met. Definitely the toughest guy I ever knew. Over the years Tom processed a small mountain of deer for me. About 15 years ago I sold him a thermocline rig, a green 6 1/2 footer w/ a penn 49m. Maybe you inherited it.
  8. Are you related to Tom? If so, you have gotten some good instruction. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  9. Les` method works great if you are ok boating only "hammerhandles".
  10. My boat is prepped and weather permitting, will go in early next week. Chomping at the bit to get going. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  11. Ya know, they have medication for that condition... Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  12. 47 degrees today. Yes Les, I double checked...
  13. Temp today was down to 42.
  14. Yea, I was a bit surprised it was that high.. Same thermometer as last year, and was accurate w/air temp. before I submerged it.
  15. Dropped the thermometer in today for the season. A couple time a week I`ll post the temps. Taken a bit N of Lodi Pt. in 3 feet of water. Today it`s 44. (Yes, I have a bad case of cabin fever too.)
  16. Ok, I`ll take it. Can meet you in t-burg most any time. Will PM you info.
  17. I ended my season last night, catching a doe at 4:15 pm sneaking through hardwoods on her way out to feed in the hay fields. It has been pretty slim pickins in zone 8s and 8j the last two weeks. Final tally for me; a doe and buck in bow, a doe and buck in rifle, and a doe in muzzle. I have more tags but have plenty of venison for family and friends. Saw 7 different bucks in bow season, only 1 buck in gun. The monarch buck that a lot of us were after was taken in early gun. All in all a very enjoyable season for me.Thanks to Legacy for the thread again this year, and all who contributed. It has been great to hear others experiences and see some great bucks. Hop

  20. Nice to know I'm not the only one. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  21. That guy has some serious shoulders on him! Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  22. Nice. I tagged an 8 point last night right at dark. He was bedded at the bottom of a steep ravine. Started up the side, probably to feed in a nearby white oak grove. Not a huge guy but I`m very happy with him.
  23. Also Sat in the rain, two doe snuck in on me, took off when I stood up. [emoji30] Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  24. Yea, ok. Thought it was some type of testing. Thanks for the responses.
  25. Does anyone know why there was a chopper North of Lodi Pt. around 4pm today? Was about in the middle of the lake hovering low enough to kick up lots of spray. Thoughts are a training exercise; rescue; stocking fish? (kind of expensive to stock this way)
