  1. The starbrite product line has worked well for me from the textured deck cleaner to the fabric mold and stain remover for the vinyl. I had to use a magic eraser for a couple of scuffs though that nothing else would touch.
  2. You will appreciate the fiberglass, stains and all, on the big water.
  3. Sorry not to hijack the thread Clark!
  4. I feel like this generation takes our history for granted and has no idea what is at stake if we let it slip away. May all those lives not be lost for nothing.
  5. God bless him and all those that sacrifice it all for our freedom
  6. Looks awesome! I like the decal on the stern too
  7. If you haven’t already tried you should list it on eBay since that would be a much more popular reel along the coast and you would get close to full price for it.
  8. Great, these are all helpful. Thanks guys
  9. I’m thinking of heading out solo in front of Port Ontario and wondering what is a reliable wind report? I usually use accuweather but not always on point lately. I really don’t want to risk driving up there to find it’s more than I’m comfortable with when I could have stayed local to fish for the morning.
  10. If I knew then what I know now I would have never cut mine…..just saying
  11. Awesome, way to grind it out! 👍🏽😎
  12. Wow never trust the wind report. Went to Oneida this morning expecting 6 SE and arrived to at least 10 NE with 2-3’ers. Hope you guys on the big O are staying safe out there
  13. Hate when that happens. Try running the f/f just off bottom on the rigger to stir them up and have spoons off the dipseys? Good luck, should be a nice morning. I’m heading out for walleyes.
  14. Awesome you were able to get out. Wind looks good for tomorrow too. Good luck, I hope you get a lot of bites.
  15. That’s awesome. I used to jig for them every winter when there was ice off of Buck point and never had luck but would push out further and get lakers every time on tip up’s.
  16. I thought you guys were pulling my leg about no LS in there so I made the crack about the walleyes thinking you were trying to keep it on the DL 😉
  17. Yeah, the stocking for both ended in the early 2000’s I believe but the walleyes are still around and reproducing on their own but I thought landlocked were still an occasional catch, too. I had something take a rip on my leadcore with a scatter rap down about 15’ over 100’ and spooled me down to 2 or 3 cranks of the trolling reel before it lept and shook the hook. I assumed it was a salmon because I never had a rainbow or brown run like that on the hit. I guess I would feel better if I knew it wasn’t a unicorn landlock.
  18. I may be wrong but I thought the digitroll could be set to self adjust to stay off of bottom by whatever distance it was set to, I could be confusing it with a different model. That would have been great for me since I often fish alone which is why I was hopeful to get it working. I’m assuming the ones that do that now are the pricier ones over $1,000?
  19. I haven’t trolled a lot up there and also don’t have a fish hawk but it has been helpful to watch other boats trolling direction and try to fish the same speed from a distance and remember those speeds in each direction before I venture off away from the pack. You’ll notice a pattern with your DR cables and dipsey rod bends after a while to get a rough idea of down speed. Those currents can be crazy down there.
  20. Ahh thanks, wow didn’t realize this was that old. Screen doesn’t look like it but also could have been stored in someone’s basement for who knows how long. I emailed fish307 but now sounds like this DR will have to be replaced.
  21. Thank you Jim. Since you had the same model I am wondering if the toggle switch on the front was an add-on because the display wasn’t working or if yours had it as well? It would be nice to have them both operational so if the screen stopped working like yours did I can still use the toggle to winch up the ball.
  22. Thank you I’ll check with them. I’m finding that those LCD displays are very hard to find new now and when I Don see them they are used and not always in working condition. Thanks again, hopefully I can get good news.
  23. I have an older Cannon Mag10A with a LCD display that has been disconnected from the inside of the housing. I bought it used like this and am wondering if this can be replaced? The toggle switch functions fine raising and lowering the ball but would like to get it back in full working condition if possible.
