  1. Wish I saw this earlier, just bought 2 spools for $42 each
  2. I just bought a boat with a 1995 Mercury 115 2- stroke outboard. It has an electric trolling motor but plan to troll with my main motor for more power. My last Yamaha 130 fouled plugs on every trip if I trolled over 3 hours. Just curious if anyone has a merc and has had good luck with slow trolling.
  3. Good to know. Still getting my new boat set up, no riggers yet just a lead core and 2 dipsey rods set up to start the season. Cant wait to get back out there.
  4. Curious how the launches are myself. I was at Stony Point today and the water is about 3’ below where it usually is this time of year
  5. Thanks, I haven’t heard of Slimy Grimy but I found one called Green Genie that looks easy like that with no scrubbing, just power wash off.
  6. Awesome thank you, I have been looking at different formulas online but would rather hear first hand knowledge like yours
  7. Thanks for reporting all your trips. I haven’t been able to get out until I get my boat/ trailer registered but nice to get an idea of what’s happening out there.
  8. I finally just replaced the old Green Hornet with one that won’t sink hopefully. It was docked for two months but I will be trailering it and want to clean it up. What is a good cleaner to get the algae and scum off the bottom without hurting the gel coat?
  9. Sorry, I just finalized my boat purchase yesterday and had a busy weekend. Too bad you don’t have two holders but I’ll take the one. Do you just need my email address to send the invoice to PayPal?
  10. I’ll take it if it is still available.
  11. If this is still available please let me know. I’ll take it.
  12. Interested in the reels if the previous sale didn’t go through.
  13. It’s a large body of water and plenty of area to roam. If you think people keeping their limit is draining the lake think again. You may have no idea what has been happening on the Reservations for all these years without any limits because if you did you would realize how many walleyes there are and how successful natural reproduction is happening.
  14. Sorry to hear about your loss. Sounds like you have a lifetime of great memories to remember him by. You are blessed, many people don’t have strong relationships with parents until their later years in life or sometimes never at all. Remember the reason he started fishing with you at a young age is because he enjoyed spending time with you and wanted to share his favorite activities with you as well. I take my kids fishing every time they ask. Cheers
  15. If anyone else is wondering, it turns out they are biting really well even in daylight.

    Bullhead

I tried 2 lakes before May 1st and both spots were dead. Wondering if there is a good bullhead spot right now and what lake. Not looking to spot burn anybody’s honey hole, just a general vicinity for a body of water. My dad finally wants to get out tonight and hopefully catch a few fish.
  17. Wow nice walleye, definitely heavy for the length. My 30” on opening day many years ago weighed in at 11 even. Would love to see a pic after its mounted. The taxidermist I used twice is now retired.
  18. That bald eagle was right above me as I was landing fish and even had a Fischer eyeing me from the bank as I moved further upstream.
  19. Nice quality fish there. The tribes are still holding fish and managed a quick limit in my kayak on Saturday for my first trip of the year. All were full of perch and small bait but were spawned out. Water is nice and dark so they don’t spook easy is 5 fow.
  20. There are more big walleyes in the area than you realize. I fish just north of there off stony point in my kayak and 4 years ago landed a 30” 9lber trolling a reef runner then lost another around the same size at the net I caught on a worm harness later that evening. It bit through the 15# mono I had tied the harness with.
  21. I have a 31” on my wall that I caught while casting cleos off the fair Haven pier years ago. Just happened to be opening day of walleye season that year 😁
