  2. Pap, If you need canvas work done up here this summer Paul Norton in Chaumont does great work and pretty reasonable also! I think he even comes to where ever your boat is to do the work. I have his number if you need it. I am going to have him do some work on my boat canvas real soon also. Bob Sent from my SM-G920V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  3. Looks good Pap! Nice start of spoon collection too. Sent from my SM-G920V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  4. Thanks everyone so far that has given their advice! Looks like the poll is towards the fish hawk! Sent from my SM-G920V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  5. Any preferences in which system or systems are the best or cheapest deal but still get a good system? The fish hawk X4 runs around $650+ depending on were you but it. The Depth raider Drx-10 system is only $450 on ebay. Then there are the older subtroll systems. My buddy Joe that's not on this forum wants to add one to his boat but not sure what to get. If he can get a decent used system for around $250_300 he is game or may be willing to pay the $450 for a new depth raider system if it's worth the money. Any input on this from the guys that use these would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Bob Sent from my SM-G920V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  6. I agree with Matt! Stony point and Black River bay area between Dexter and out past Sackets harbor. I have had good luck with eyes off from Everleigh Point and bullrock point. Stony for the browns Sent from my SM-G920V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  7. I agree with Landshark that the walleye fishing in this area is one of the best up here in early May Sent from my SM-G920V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  8. Pap I usually hear pretty much the same line. Except she usually days something like "don't you already have a bunch of spoons, how many more do you need?" Can never have too many spoons right!!! Sent from my SM-G920V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  9. tds840 That idea you have is very similar to the one I made last year! It is an awesome money safer and great idea. I used the same light cover material but used a different box. I think I used one from wally-world that eased about the same size as your 14x11 from office max. Thanks for sharing your instructions with great detail. 10. That's awesome Pap!! That's like almost a $1000 unit. Very nice. I wish I could have made it down to this event but I had other things going on. Maybe next year. Sent from my SM-G920V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  11. Your power point link doesn't seem to work. It gives a 400 bad request message Sent from my SM-G920V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  12. Good info thanks guys!! Sent from my SM-G920V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  13. I seen this fishhawk TD and was wondering if this would be worth getting as a cheaper alternative to the more expensive speed and temp system? Any thoughts or opinions?? And maybe some pointers on use if someone had used one of these. http://m.ebay.com/itm/Fish-Hawk-TD-Digital-Water-Temperature-and-Depth-Reader-NEWEST-MODEL-/182458440895?nav=SEARCH Sent from my SM-G920V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  14. I would really like to get a few more salmon to put in the freezer. Then its buck season for most of us. Sent from my SM-G920V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  15. Anyone know how long the kings may still be in the trench area? Or do they move on out to the Black River bay area in Dexter by this time of year ? Maybe focus on walleye with what time we have left of boating season before winterizing. Sent from my SM-G920V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
