  1. Nice day 7/8 in Mexico Bay 130’ FOW. 4 for 7, but hoping somebody sees a fish at surface with green flasher fly combo, and takes a picture of fish for us. 10 min prior we boated a 6 lb Brown on same combo. Then had big strike and couldn’t raise the fish. Strong head shakes almost felt like big Striped Bass when they nose down and won’t raise. I’ve had 12-14 lb Browns fight similar so thinking this was PB Brown that broke at flasher. Regret fish may be struggling with it still hooked in. But hoping somebody sees it and can take a picture so see how big it was. TYIA

  4. (2) 12” Downrigger Gimbal mounts $100. 1 swivel base $50. Oswego/Mexico area
  5. (2) Cannon Mag 10 Electric Downriggers with swivel bases included. (just spent $70 for the step up blocks to fit the swivel bases). Both have dual rear rod holders included. Both have 48' fixed boom. No cracks in either Rigger's body. 1 has 250′ of 150 lb of stainless steel cable. This one has auto Up + Auto stop. 1 has 250' of 150 lb coated cable. This one may have auto up + auto stop, but doesn't work with the coated cable? First $400 takes both and includes both swivel bases (cost $90ea + $30 step up block). Also may have 2 Gimble mounts available. *Now already off boat & stored indoors* Pick up near Mexico, Pulaski, or Oswego, NY or may meet up within 60min away.
  6. What speed is best for the Alpenas ? We use the old Suttons at 1mph rowing in the resevoir because such good flutter action. Same slow speeds when trolling the Alpenas on Lake O ? TYIA
