  1. Thank you!!!!!!! Much appreciated!
  2. If anyone knows where to buy these in bulk please let me know but these are the ‘coil spring fasteners’. The down side to Seth Green Rigs would be, they are not as easy as free fighting a fish on a down rigger rod, you have to stop to take leaders off if you chose to use more than one and they are not fun for kids just learning. But, i love them.
  3. Harvey O Hara (spelling) used to sell 40 oz weights with a ‘fin’ to keep the weight from spinning. Suttons would also have everything you needed. The only thing i dont like about suttons is the reel they used to sell with the rod but thats just me. The rod is heavier with a roller tip.
  4. Seth Green Rigs. The Sutton Company in NAPLES used to sell them pre-rigged. Maybe they still do. But IMO they are better (more effective) than down riggers by far! They are also better at keeping fleas off. 40 oz weight on the bottom of your line followed by beaded chain swivels every XX amount of feet with ‘coil spring’ fasteners attached to the beaded swivels for the leaders. Fyi.. You need a bigger reel
  5. Anyone know where the fuse panel on this model is located or if the fuses are all inline? I have only seen one inline fuse so far and cant locate the fuse panel….
  6. Sorry, those may not be pre-2006. I cant remember as that was back in 2017.
  7. Had the same issue… replaced the motor, and new switch came with them.
  8. Not to say thats never happened or couldnt happen, because it could… but the probability of that happening is very low, like less than 5% probable. Most fisherman dont cheat. The ones that deliberately set out to cheat their way to a payday have to catch the winner on another lake. Which isnt as easy as most people think. 10+ lb Lakers/Browns/Rainbows/LL dont just jump into your boat on Lake O, or Cayuga or Canandaigua.
  9. Average weight of winning Lake Trout Derby fish since 1994 is 12.745 lbs. winning fish last year was 12.36. Huge decline!
  10. I know that spot well. Fishing the South end of Seneca goes like this.... you fish all day and dont move a rod OR you catch a bunch of fish in the 2, 3, 4 lb class. Thats how things have gone for me on that particular stretch you are referring to.
  11. Good Morning! How many entrants/boats are there so far for this year?
  12. Awesome!!! Thanks for the tip on High Percentage Salmon Trolling..
  13. We are in, how many entrants this yr?
  14. End of June/ most of July and into August Bass fishing in Sampson ive always had really good luck fishing the break wall on the North side of the marina, like right on the break wall, seems like they hang out pretty close to that. As far as trolling goes, good luck as Lady Seneca doesnt always give it up easily. What ive learned is that if they are hitting you will be able to get them on a spoon game even though there are tactics that are probably more effective. There is a really good, enthusiastic charter captain who has his home base at Sampson also.
  15. Thank you!!
  16. Does anyone know the spoon manufacturer that has an MP stamped backwards on their trolling spoon?
  17. Il take these for $40 shipped. I sent you a PM...
  18. Awesome!!! The article says we can use all valid tags! That is also surprising as i searched the DEC website for information relating to using your regular season buck tag during holiday hunt but couldnt find anything specific! I know there was an earlier question on this thread regarding that but i was skeptical.
  19. Thanks for the info. I just opposed this bill on the Ny Senate website!!! Not that my county would vote to get rid of it but I love the Holiday hunt! Last year was phenomenal.
  20. Please vote 1 week from today!
  21. Some sort of Fox is my vote. An old friend of mine swore by a species of "Cat Dogs" roaming our area!!
