  1. Im sure if someone wanted to try it bad enought they would find a way. If you check torpedo divers under tips and tricks they run a torpedo diver on a rigger to get it deeper.. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  2. Never have put a flouro leader on a rigger rod. Divers copper and cores all have flourocarbon. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  8. I have had the worst luck with convectors in 30 size have had 6 break in less then a year of use. 55s for my coppers and cores are great but the 30s are JUNK. Wire divers i would have catalinas or tekotas as i run 2 each for my wires. Catalinas are 12 years old and been repaired once by tuna tom and the tekotas are new this spring. 10. I know i wouldnt fish without my sharks! I run 1 chrome and 1 black everyday i fish. Chrome so far this year has been best rod Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  11. Troll master pro is a great system. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  12. The heavier the core or copper your pulling the further the weight needs to be forward Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  13. That may work better then my friends setup as you will have the larger rudder to help steer. His setup is a kicker on an i/o boat and i think it is to much to try to steer with the outdrive not moving. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  14. I picked up some to try. Does anyone use the mc rockets? Do you prefer a clean head with a flasher or a regular meat rig? Add scent or no? If a clean head what lenght behing say an 11 inch paddles? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  15. Black, chrome or white whill catch all the fish you could ever ask for. Expriment with lead lengths on you boat for your program. I run 12 ft leads to flashers and flies or meat. I started using john kings super snubbers last year and really like them for keeping the kings stuck. I only run wire divers and use 124mm deeper divers for highs and lows. Highs get a weight and bottom from a 107mm diver or an old luhr jenson diver. Highs on 3 lows on 1.5 Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  16. If you want electric then cisco or big jon is the only choices. Back when i ran. Big boards i used a couple of old walker downriggers for planner reels. From the rigger i ran them to a pulley then to the board. They worked ok just werent fast but they got the job done. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  17. Spoons on riggers to start the day unless the fish are deep 75ft plus switching to meat and flies later in the day as the sun gets up. Divers get meat of flies to start the day and stay that way unless there is cold water in the top 30 ft of water. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  18. Have a friend with the st-1000 on his boat. Only way it keeps a course is to tack like a sail boat. I highly doubt it will last long trying to turn your outdrive. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  19. Does the alignment bar go all the way in? If it does its fine. If not adjust until it does. The bar should slide all the way in with 2 fingers. Better to have it right then have to pull the engine again cause you ruined the coupler. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  20. Always put on 1000 feet of wire. If you break off 200 feet and you only have 500 to begin with what do you have left. NOTHING. Not even break offs just trimming back and such to keep the curly cues at bay. You will have to respool in no time. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  21. Have the fish hawk to help you repeat what caught the last fish as far as speed. You cant start the day and say im going to put the probe rigger in 48 degree water and it will be the hottest rod on the boat. That is not whether it is for. Use the probe to find the break and speed the great lakes have wicked currents you need to pay attention to. 5 degree change in course can be the difference in a full cooler or just a couple fish in the box. Still fish the marks. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  22. In my opion high water is the key to success for many species of fish. Now im from michigan but as our water here has came back from its lows our smelt and perch population have exploded the last couple of years o n lake huron.
