  1. I run dreamweaver 124mm on highs and lows. The lows i run stock. Highs i run on 3 with the base plate and weight off a 107mm diver they pull way to the side this way and reach depth at 3 to 1 on wire. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  2. Throw it away. If you really must save it reel it on to the same size reel then back with mono till its full and spool it mono first on to the original reel. Use an albright knot to connect wire to the mono. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  3. Because okuma makes them for cabelas is why they quit working. But yes they are all warrantied. Have a friend that has been getting new reels for the last 5 or 6 years Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  4. Wasnt open monday when i pulled my boat from the marina. Really doubt it will open this year still fenced off and no work being done. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  5. True story there is nothing on the market today that could hold a candle to the ryhs davis strips! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  6. The dw ballyhoo is great bait some of the strips have scales that need to be removed to beable to put the toothpick through. The dw milkfish on the otherhand stinks so bad the neighbors cat wont even eat it. Tried it once with no luck so never it again. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  7. Ive got the last 2 jayfred sold they work flawlessly landed this brute on them after the guy at the bait shop said "are you sure these will hold up on lake o" lol Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  9. Havent had a issue with the 832 and salmon. Know of some charters running it everyday with no problems. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  10. Most lead is 4 to 5 feet doesnt matter the lb test depending on speed current and thermocline. Suffix just goes much deeper. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  11. Dont gain depth going to heavier lead core. Lead inside stays the same size just the dacron sheath is bigger. If you want more depth go with suffix 832 lead core 18lb it is around 7 ft a color Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  12. Front hole and fin side hole run them the way they come out of the package Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  13. You can get clean rigs without teasers or meat rigs with teasers. Atommik, big weenie, dreamweaver, diabolical, big water tackle, and john king all make quality meat rigs. Best for a beginner are atommik with john king heads or john kings himself i prefer his mag meat heads. The others use ryhs davis heads and they do require tunning. John king heads roll true every time you put them in the water. He has a website with meat fishing tips and tricks. 16. Never fished the finger lakes but the 5 to 8 times a year you fish lake o it will be a huge improvement. This weekend i fished bluffers on the north shore and had to go 3.4+ sog to get 2.7 on my fish hawk on a west troll. East troll was 2.2 sog to get 2.7 on the fish hawk. Divers didnt look bad at 3.0 sog on the west troll but the fish were not biting cranked the speed up friday night after a half hour without a hit and with in 30 seconds had a double on the divers and it was like that the rest of the weekend double triples and quads. I really dont rely on it for temp but there is nothing more important then knowing the speed at the lures. Fishing without knowing the down speed to me you might aswell stay home and do yard work! 18. It is an atommik custom rig he has them for sale on his website. Green protroll with custom green twinkies and an old school ryhs davis meat head. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  19. Tourney ties on divers. Single treble hook on riggers. Never hook in to the strip. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  20. I would run the same lenght as you are running your flasher and fly. Guys i know do run shorter then I do Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  21. I run 12 feet from diver to flasher and hand line the fish at the boat. 99% of the time i will run a flasher with the meat rig. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  22. You could easily make the dovetail pieces on a table saw from aluminum. It cuts very easy with the saw. I used a circular saw to cut up aluminum dump boxes when i work at a truck shop. Just wear face protection the lit bits of aluminum really fly. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  23. Deep riggers and wire divers is the place for meat. I fished out of bluffers park this weekend 90 on a rigger with the atommik stud meat rig and a 10" white slick glo was steady saturday and sunday. Saturday was a fly bite on the divers 110 to 120 back on 3. Sunday was a meat bite on the divers 150 back on 1.5 and 180 to 210 back on 3. Blister was good on a diver and also a rig i made with rapture teasers. I ran a few ryhs davis and dw heads with just a bite here and there. Most of my meat bites where on 10" spinnys this weekend. Fly bites where on 8 inch spinnys. Never had a bite on a protroll tbis weekend. Aslo down speed at bites was 2.4 to 3.1 on my fish hawk. Currents where crazy on sunday. My rigger at 90 was fishing 40 to 42 degree water. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  24. Do you have a probe? Its not just the flasher its also the herring if it aint spinning you aint catching. Ryhs davis heads require tuning at some point. John king heads are by far the easist to run i would suggest getting some atommik meat rigs with the john king heads and it will certainly shorten your learning curve. Speed can be all over ive caught fish at 1.5 mph down speed aswell as 3.5 downspeed and everywhere in between. Also dont think you have to run the big fish flashers with meat 8 and 10 inch spin drs work great aswell as 11 pro troll pro chips. Paddles without a fin dont work well mith meat for me.
