One of my favorite methods is to drift with bottom bouncer and harness. I am going to try the gambler in place of the harness and see how it does.

Do they work well at slower speeds? Was going to try them drifting with rod in hand. Usually about .75 to 1 mph? Thanks.

Great catch of eyes. Glad to see that they are still there! I miss fishing the river. Haven't been up there this year. Shorter drive to Lake Erie and they bite during the day. They do not fight as hard as the SLR eyes though.

Thanks. Heading out to Lake Erie for eyes now. That is much easier fishing and they are tasty!!

Great pictures. That screen showing your track is really neat. My family and I are renting our old family camp at the north end 8/11 to 8/18. If I catch anything worthy of a report I will post it. Do you ever use dipseys?

Very nice Greenhornet... I would never guess to go for them right on top. Were you using floating rapalas or similar sticks?

I plan on trying to figure them out a little better this summer. Getting my boat from storage today. Sounds like you are a veteran I bay eye fisherman. Sounds like they are resident fish and not migrating for bait.

Hi Kevin, do you know what the water temperature was where you had the eyes biting? Just curious what the conditions / factors that turned them into active feeders were. Great job as always!

Great perch day! Congratulations to you and your dad. Don't worry about the detractors comments. 

Unless the sheds were mounted on skull caps whoever took that picture got more than just sheds.
