    With Wright's closed, went to Hugh's Marina for first time .Nice spot to launch . 3 salmon before 8am , then lost the bite .Extra 20 mile drive but worth it.

    Could anyone tell me how far the launch is from Syracuse ? Looking for alternative for Wright's I already have to come up 81 .

    I launched there today with no problems. It's a shame the launch is closed because the boat slips can't be used .Went 4 for 4 on salmon and now have to wait for Canada to say the Lake can be lowered to fish again.

    Mike , I've fished the lake since 1982 and never saw the lake the way it's been in 2017 and this year.

    Fished for salmon on wed. Missed one at 6;30 am and not another release. West was 42degrees east was 50 . Just have to hope you get a good breeze before Saturday . .

    It would be great if someone could post some pics of the launch so we know what to expect with the high water until it goes down.

    2 for 3 browns today but by 8:30 it was getting too hard to stand up in the boat because of waves so we called it a day without getting skunked .High water is flooding the launch docks . Pretty close to 2017 levels and still going up .Hope they let more water out of the lake soon or I'm going to have some problems launching.

    Great catch .Any consistant depth for the salmon ? Now I've got to decide on whether I bring the side planers or dipsy rods .Or just stack off downriggers .

    Glad to see you made it on the water. Try a black or green alewife stinger if you have them. They worked for me a week ago . I'll be up on Tuesday.

    Went 4 for 5 by 9:30 this am.All 5-6 lb browns off riggers @ 5 feet over 25 . Didn't want to buy bayrats but the browns like them. Got boat on new trailer on first try! Great morning.

    My first launch was wed. also. 2 7-8 lb browns and back to the launch to practice loading the boat on the new trailer.2 tries and it was loaded . Great day .
