  1. A word of caution. Dont use treated ply as it could react with the aluminum. I used stainless steel screws to attach the new floors. An approximate 1/4" gap was left between the floor and the foam so both could breathe. Incidentally I did seal the foam with clear polyurethane before installing floor. Drains were installed and sealed around with marine silicone Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  2. Tore out all the old foam. Poured new 2lb. Marine foam from US Composites. Rasped down the areas that rose above the the stringers. I used 3/4" exterior ply for the floor. This was coated with 4 coats of Sherwin Williams 646 2 part marine epoxy, top bottom and sides. Shark skin additive added to final top coat for non slip surface. (Tired of the blood trails in the carpet) Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  3. Started with this and tore all the old floor out. It was a pain. Floor had carpet and had contact cement in all the the screw heads. Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  4. I started this project in Oct and just did finish it. Was able to work on it some thru the winter as it was stored inside tho it was in an unheated bldg. Note to those pouring foam. Warm weather is definitely better. Foam rises much better and it takes less foam. It was in the low 50s when i poured and it took much more foam than it should have. I will post some pics of the rebuild. Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  5. US Composites out of Fla. has the best price on marine foam. Just replaced foam and floor in my boat. Note the very center and deepest part of the hull has no foam. This is where water drains to the bilge area Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  6. Here is what the adapters look like. They are real strong. Have a couple on my downriggers as well. Don't want to sell the adapters since I use them on other rod holders Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  12. Go to the cisco web site. Gives the specs . Part # DRMOT. Rated for 20 lbs. I know this will work on my BJ Captains paks Which are only rated for 12 lbs. Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  13. Cisco will fit several big jon riggers. Fish USA has this motor for $139. Even cheaper if u use one of their discount offers. I would rather spend an extra 40 over a rebuild and have a new motor. They are also supposed to be stronger. Check compatibility tho. Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  14. Ive decided to put off my main painting till next year, spent too much on the interior rebuild. I'm going to paint my transom only, with Sherwin Williams 646 epoxy. Prep for it is scuff lightly. Wash with denatured alcohol and paint immediately Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  15. And no I'm not a rep for Jamestown Distributors. Just a good company to deal with. West Marine is great too. Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  19. Jamestown Distributors has a paint specially formulated for aluminum boats. Its called Total boat aluminum boat paint. No primer needed. That is what I'll probably use. Its not that expensive. Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  20. Anyone have a method for repairing tears in seats? Have a few in the seam areas too. Tried the 3m vinyl repair kit. Really not happy with those results. Wont work at all on a seam. Anyone try Goop? Duct tape is not a repair, just a band aid and just leaves a sticky mess. Also is there seat covers for boats such as you can get for a car. Only thing I can find is storage seat covers. Thanks Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  21. Getting ready to do some painting on my aluminum boat as well. Most paints require an etching primer for aluminum. Check out James Distributing. The have a paint for aluminum that doesnt need primer. Brush, roll or spray. Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  22. Dont really have much use for trib. stuff. Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  23. I dont have sheds. These horns are on skull plates. Been doing taxidermy for a living for 30 years. Accumulated horns from mounts that never got picked up or deposits paid. Id much rather have had the money than the horns. Lol Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  24. I have lots of deer antlers. What do you have to trade? Might be interested in salmon gear, flashers, flies, meat rigs etc. Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  25. I have 3 boat seat pedestals with bases. Bases measure 9" across with 1 3/4" holes. 2 pedestals are approx. 14" tall, and one is approx. 13". Compatible with most swivels and seat bolt patterns. $100 plus shipping. Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
