Hey guys thank you. This is a great thread. Its like being one on one at salmon school. So I am thinking 3 black and one chrome down the middle when needed. Sent from my SM-J737V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
Thank you for the feedback. I am setting up to troll deeper. (+80) Do you think the chrome, black, or white color shark make any difference below 80? Sent from my SM-J737V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
Looking to get your opinion on the shark cannonballs and it's advertised advantage. If the general opinion supports the shark attractant advantage then what setup would you recommend for a 3 rigger combination. (Weights and colors)
I was considering a purchase last year that needed the same work. Friends recommended Mike's Marina in Mexico. The sale fell through when someone made a better offer. So this is not a first hand recommendation. The purchase was a Penn Yan 26. Good luck
I have been in this boat in 6 foot+ seas. This platform rides well in ruff water. Good Luck Jay Sent from my SM-J737V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
I fish this model of Penn Yan and I am very happy with my purchase. This price is very reasonable. If you are considering a versatile starter craft for trolling salmon on Lake Ontario this is worth considering. Good Luck Sent from my SM-J737V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
My boat had a anchor cabinet. How wide is the blade and bar so I can see it will fit in the cabinet. How much does it weigh. Sent from my SM-J737V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
First let me say I agree with each of the previous posts and the separations in the diagram are good. The point I would add to this discussion is that different spread combinations will all work in a straight line tack or large radius turns.
The point I would add is that you need to consider the changes to the patents that will occur in a turn both to the right and to the left. The changes I am referencing are the depth change because of the inside and outside line speeds will change and so must the depths then change. Of course the rigger change is the least and the dipsy and outriggers are incredibly more.
I will by the 2 Mod DM-DR 86M 10 -25lb 8'.6 with spring tips. I am 1/2 hour drive from either location. Let me know when I can see and pick them up.
