  1. Ha this is hilarious. Agreed though, I don’t and never meant to disrespect anyone. I’m very blunt by nature. Bottom line is I do hope we can legally launch our boats and lay a smack down soon. I hope none of the members here recognize my boat and plot revenge once we do get back out! haha
  2. Yes I get what they’re trying to stop, which is what you’ve outlined there. I understand I’ve been outspokenly against this, but at the same time, as you’ve said, having bots with 3-4 dudes is not super smart.
  3. What’s the odds that if I park my truck in the little parking lot outside those barricades and carry my kayak down to the launch I’d be violating whatever order is in place here? Anyone have insight on that? I’d like to kayak if I can’t boat.
  4. This is not about fishing or “one fish”. It’s about how our government can control every aspect of our lives based on skeptical at best “facts”. False reporting is going on everywhere. Have you noticed heart attack, stroke, etc deaths have plummeted? Why is that? It’s because the CDC has ordered that if people die from anything, but test positive for C19, their death cert will state C19 was the cause of death. So let’s say 100,000 unfortunately die- how many would have died if they hadn't contracted c19? Make your own conclusion. Like many others on this site, we are disgusted at how much control can be placed on us at will by the so called leaders in government. Check out the mayor of Chicago who banned hair salons, then the next day shows up with her hair perfectly done by her stylist who she allowed to break the rule. These politicians think they’re above us. Do as I say, not as I do. Or cuomo having these daily meetings without a mask is 1000x worse than me launching my boat and fishing a couple hours.
  5. Be safe during your visits, hope for the best 🙏
  6. For sure, I don’t think it’s political. I just don’t like ignorant decisions and those know no political party. Closing boat launches is going to do nothing either way. The only argument I can see is if out of staters or nonlocal people fished so just outlaw that. I dont like someone in government running running every aspect of my life. And it’s starting to feel that way.
  7. Right and I’ll say that this is not (for me personally) complaining about not being able to fish. I’ve only been fishing the lake for five years or so. I’m more upset that our governor is making decisions like this. The safe act was another example. He just does something just to do something. I hope you Can get out soon and your back heals!
  8. Here’s an idea. Solo fishing only. Or only people you live with can fish on your boat. And zero people from out of state allowed, or even only folks within a 50 mile radius. To say the government “has” to close boat launches really concerns me. Does the government “have” to come into your home if they suspect your sick? A history lesson tells us the last time that happened WWII began due to a tyrannical government and the last known genocide. Im ok with you being super careful, that’s your business. But closing boat launches to anyone is straight ignorance.
  9. This is a pretty ignorant comment. Ive posted pictures with me on a bot with people I live with. So don’t paint us all with a broad stroke. If you cannot see the overreaction here, I don’t know what to tell you.
  10. Ha how the heck do they sell enough propane to justify being essential lol
  11. Thought so too, but all seasons is across the road and remains open as well and doesn’t have any gas stations.

Sold / Closed 19:Foot Lowe Roughneck

That’s a beautiful boat and nice job taking pics. If I was in the market I’d be picking her up! Good luck sir!
  13. Agreed, which brings up why fat Nancy’s is considered essential lol my buddy’s and I were wondering about that.
  14. From talking to the sheriffs earlier in the year, I’m going to be surprised if they even comply. Even then they were sick of this crap, no pun intended
  15. Mexico point is open as well. Definitely a nice mudline, but the 10’ers aren’t so welcoming for my boat haha
  16. That makes sense to me but we don’t know, and likely never will. I don’t feel like I’m bulletproof, but my evaluation of risk/reward draws the line. Giving folks the option to launch their boat is extremely low risk (if not, zero), offers people the chance to catch multiple meals worth of food, and gets them out of the house. And to people saying “well yea but you gotta stop at bait shops and gas stations”. Sure. If I lived 100 miles from the launch, your point is valid. But I’m closer to the launch than I am the grocery store. So are you gonna stop me from getting groceries? Because the two are exactly the same, in the sense of how many doors I’ll touch and gas pumps I’ll touch.
  17. When I launched Tuesday, someone alone had a center console prob 16-17’ boat with a 70 two stroker recovering by himself. I asked if he wanted help but said no. I was a little surprised. Then I realized he probably just wanted me to stay away haha
  18. Dicks really help me launch my boat idk about you guys.
  19. Hilarious misspelling here... sorry mrpike I had to point that out!!!
  20. You can search it and find many references, I’ll include this one, albeit from only one German town. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.technologyreview.com/2020/04/09/999015/blood-tests-show-15-of-people-are-now-immune-to-covid-19-in-one-town-in-germany/amp/ I dont get my news through social media. My common sense tells me there are many who have had it, their bodies rejected it (much like any other flu) and afterward developed antibodies for it. They basically got the vaccine the hard way haha but I’m not the endall be all, certainly not a doctor, so I’m totally open to discussion. These are only my opinions.
  21. I feel the same way. Almost like everyone’s looking at everyone as if they have six eyes. I hate to make this analogy, because I’m sure some folks on here have special needs kids, but it’s like when you walk into a store with a child who has severe physical handicaps and people unintentionally stare at you for a few seconds. Same feeling now just with everyone. And I get that the question was in good intentions but he didn’t think that one through!
  22. They’ve already found people who have the antibodies to fight covid 19 back in December- meaning a lot of people have already had it, recovered from it and are now immune to this particular strand. Don’t hear that on CNN or Fox News though do you?
  23. I hear ya and I don’t mean to be combative but this is exactly like the reporter that asked directly to Trump on Monday why he hasn’t considered shutting down everything including grocery stores for two weeks. Absolute insanity. It reminds me of parents who shelter their kids from everything. When those kids get out on their own, and the real world punches them in the mouth, they fold like a lawn chair. Point is, we can’t just stop America everytime someone sneezes. America would never “reopen”.
