Yesterday was a big N wind, which was quickly followed up by a stronger than anticipated SW.

Got out this morning and quickly noted just how cold the inside was, by my count this is the 7th time the lake has flipped since June 1 - stable water hasn't been a thing I've seen all summer long unfort.

So as usual it was a FISH the CONDISH type of scenario... and I poked out to 57 fow and I landed right on top of major hooks that were only down 20-25.

I continued to watch the screen to 62 fow, and screens looked great, so I punched it back into 50 fow and started setting up a troll with the wind to my back.

I knew I was going to be slow getting my riggers in the water cause I am still working out some kinks, but I set the divers out asap... and my partner forgot to let his wire deploy out via the drag system and decided to thumb it out...

Well as you can imagine, he back-lashed my wire instantly, lol.  So we were fishing 1 line during prime time for quite a while.

Ironed out all my kinks by 6am or so and finally had 4 lines in the water.  Riggers = flasher fly ~25/30 down.  Divers = Spoons out 75'.

We grinded inside due to the strong SW winds, I didn't wanna fight my way back into port.

MVP was the wonderbread spin doctor / flasher fly in 62 fow.  Big matures were right in there and even shallower first thing AM.

Had plenty of other king marks snoop my riggers and bounce -- but we managed 2 solid matures -- 1 trolling with the wind (3mph surface speed) and one trolling straight against it (2.2 surface speed)
